I love what they are doing with Cantrips. I also really like they are giving Ritual Magic some love, I love magic that takes a long time to cast that is rich with description.

I think now that Pathfinder is moving into being its own thing, I think they should expand in the background and fluff what Magic "is", how it works and where it came from. Unless I'm mistaken, they never really went in depth about the metaphysics of magic in Golarion.

I actually agree with this.

Players should have to consider the moral implications of killing.

The problem, I think, is that this would require some changes in the setting. For example, You could still have the goblins at thistletop in ROTRL but you would have to drive the idea that these are creatures following ripnugget who worships Lamashtu under the tutelage of a priestess of Lamashtu.

I strongly disagree.

Material components are one of the things that makes magic feel like magic. Its flavorful and promotes the idea that "how" your character does their magic and the description that flows from that, is as important as the spells effects.

Its also a tool for DM's to control the most powerful class in the game.

I think that Wands of CLW make magical divine healing a little too cheap, both in terms of actual in game cost and in terms of narrative importance.

I think a more believable way to offer the same thing, but not step on the toes of actual divine healers is something like a "First Aid Kit" that has 50 charges, that can be used with a heal skill check to restore the same amount as a CLW wand.

It offers the same kind of healing, but makes a lot more sense from a narrative point of view. You have a person with some first aid skill bandaging up the party in between fights.
