SPECIAL ABILITIES

Armored Casting You can cast death mage spells while wearing light armor and use a shield without incurring the normal arcane spell failure chance.

Bonus Feat Humans select one extra feat at 1st level.

Cantrips You can prepare a number of cantrips, or 0-level spells, each day. These spells are cast like any other spells, but they are not expended when cast and may be used again.

No Racial Subtype You have chosen no racial subtype.

Reactionary You were bullied often as a child, but never quite developed an offensive response. Instead, you became adept at anticipating sudden attacks and reacting to danger quickly. You gain a +2 trait bonus on Initiative checks.

Seeker You are always on the lookout for reward and danger. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Perception checks, and Perception is always a class skill for you.

Shadow Adept (Su) Whenever you cast a shadow conjuration or shadow evocation spell from the death mage spell list, you may use it to emulate any cleric, bard or sorcerer/wizard spell from the conjuration or evocation (as appropriate) schools.

Shadow Mage You draw power from the shadows and darkness and use it to trick the living and summon shadowy servants.

Shape Shadow (Su) You gain the benefit of presistent pretidigitation, unseen servant, and spectral hand as a result of your ability to shape and command shadows.

Skilled Humans gain an additional skill rank at first level and one additional rank whenever they gain a level.

Personality: Trahel is judgmental, witty and sarcastic.

Motivation: A hedonist through-and-through, Trahel seeks out pleasure, generally in the form of sex,
alcohol, or reading a musty old book, at every opportunity. This is mainly to hide a melancholy and loneliness caused by his ability to see the spirits of the dead constantly and a past that he would seal off if he could.

Background: An orphan of the Goblinblood wars, Trahel witnessed not only the deaths of those around him, but the morose of their lingering spirits as his ability to hear the echoes of the dead manifested. Taken in by the Sisters of the Golden Erinyes, Trahel's emotional pain was replaced with physical abuse and a regiment of unholy doctrine as the Devil Nuns drilled him for a life of Asmodeus. Trahel escaped with the assistance of the spirits that met unfortunate ends during the Sisters' teachings.

Fleeing to Elidir, Trahel learned to bury the horrors of the past through vice by watching the social aristocracy.
