As an addendum, for any Aid-focused build, be sure to pick an Ancestry like Halfling or Human with Feats that give a bonus to your Aid checks. Jaric Halflings can get +2 at Level 1. Humans can get +4 at Level 1. Any Halfling can get +4 at Level 5. Other Ancestries can of course grab Adopted, but that takes an extra Feat out of your pool.
I gave my Halfling Maestro Bard the Swashbuckler Dedication, and One-For-All, to create a super buffer, and it's worked well. If I have all 3 actions available, my 1st round routine is 1) Bon Mot, 2) Inspire Courage, 3) One-For-All. Then if Bon Mot stuck, I'll follow up with Fear on the following round. I took Cultural Adaptability for the +4 on my Aid check, and eventually I'll grab Helpful Halfling (which I'll Retrain when it's no longer useful, but that's a ways off).
Yep. "Your DC for a given statistic is 10 + the total modifier for that statistic." So any bonuses or penalties to a check also impose that same bonus or penalty upon the DC. Bon Mot is pretty amazing when you're specialized in it.
Be sure to ask your GM whether they allow reactions before your first turn in Initiative. Their answer will drastically impact how useful Counter Performance is. One GM may say "always" (no problem there), one may say "it's circumstantial" (so freshen up your OOC diplomacy skills), and one may say "never" (which, ideally, you shouldn't encounter, since there are some reactions that trigger off Initiative being rolled, but those people do exist). I say this because things like Harpies are usually going to do their tricks on Round 1, and it's good to know what your options are ahead of time.

Yeah I'm curious what problem this is trying to address. Everyone has different posting styles. Just like at a table, it's valid to preview your attacks one at a time (to gauge how successful your attacks are going) or all at once (during activities like Flurry of Blows). If someone is crafting their post one attack at a time, their reroll will happen before the next roll. If someone is crafting their post all at once, their reroll will happen afterwards. If you want to mandate that everyone post in a certain way, that's your prerogative, but it's something you should probably state up front, going forward.

GM Dinketry wrote: you cannot preferentially select which d20 roll you choose to reroll with a Hero Point if you roll multiple rolls at once. -_- That's being a little bit of a dick, considering the only way to roll in PbP is "multiple rolls". Nobody posts one roll per post. Furthermore, if you look at the post where Leafi rerolled, you'll see every roll after the first was a success, so it doesn't matter which one they decided to go with.

Don't forget, everyone, inspire courage also adds +1 to damage ^_^ Watching his fellow halfling go down enrages Tomble, "HEY! Not cool! Pick on someone your own size!" He magically manipulates one of the sling bullets lying in the sand and flings it at the kobold closest to him, standing over Bina. ◈ Cast inspire courage
Telekinetic Projectile: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 7 + 1 = 23

Tomble strides forward confidently, nodding approvingly. "Good job, team! Leafi, way to go! Bina, let's have coffee after this. Dwil, sick your cat on them! Drazzel, we're with you! Termia, aim lower!" ◈ Stride
EDIT: Oh. Hmm. For some reason I thought guidance was a circumstance bonus. Umm. I guess instead he'll Demoralize the kobold in front of Leafi. He points ominously at the kobold with his bastard sword. ◈ Demoralize, Intimidating Glare: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Tomble starts off with a jaunty jeer, despite not knowing who the opponents are.. "Some stories are told,
And just one mistake
If possible, would be cool if he could use Performance for Initiative ^_^

GM Dinketry wrote: ** spoiler omitted ** Tomble does have Pathfinder Society Lore, in case you rolled Society. But, in general, if he is Untrained in a skill, I won't have him Recall Knowledge. Tomble whispers over to Bina while the soldier calls out her name, rank and serial number, "I got just the answer for this.." He then clears his throat loudly, and leaps up in his chair, placing one stubbly foot over the back and balancing in place. "As foremost cap—no, sergeant—of the Barrier Wall Bill Band, I suppose I outrank all of you!" he puffs his chest out for emphasis. "We should probably go to.." 1d3 ⇒ 3 "...the Master of Swords!" A similarly mocha-skinned male halfling stumbles into the meeting room, perhaps a bit hungover judging by his disheveled clothes and sleepy look about his face. But he brightens up when he spots Bina. Ha! What are the odds? I can already tell I'm going to like this mission! His outfit consists of bright yellows, blues and greens and he's festooned his wavy brown hair with rooster feathers that match his outfit (or perhaps his clothes match the feathers?). One sleeve is shorter than the other, and occasionally a tattoo peeks out from underneath. On his back he's sheathed a sword that is nearly as tall as he is (a bastard sword), and an unstringed longbow pokes out of a quiver attached to the sheath. His feet are bare, and his stubbly toes muffle the patter of his footsteps. "Hey there, gorgeous! Don't suppose you have anymore of that coffee? Could really go for a pick-me-up right about now!" (his youthful exuberance and inexperience are paramount) During group introductions, he adds, "Tomble Stubbletoes! Of the Barrier Mountain Stubbletoes! You've probably heard of us. Keepin' the monsters of the Mwangi from escapin' to the deserts of Osirion! Or was it keepin' the monsters from the desert on their side? Eh, either way. It's been a fun gig! Got my bill-band back home, the Calamitous Cocks!" to which he abruptly crows out loud like a rooster. "If any of you want to be temporary members, I got you covered. I just need your shoulder for a moment.." He basically offers to adorn you with his personal sigil, which will naturally fade after a week.

● Traveler of the Spirit Road [_][_][_]
● Hireling (Medicine, Cooking Lore) ● Promotional Vestments Tomble is a Jaric Halfling, the ethnicity of mountaineering halflings who live in the Barrier Wall mountains separating the Mwangi Expanse from the deserts to the north and east. Jarics are known for forming boisterous groups called "bill-bands" (aka stereotypical frat boys). I imagine his Day Job was just barely eking out a win at a game of beer pong ^_^ |
