When Razagal asks where Tom has been he answers him:

I've been taking a stroll around the building, lots of references to Pharasma, but nothing special. If we really need to go up against some necromancer cult they could be a potential ally since they hate the undead almost as much as me. Oh and the people here always show their respect by drawing this symbol when they enter holy sites of Pharasma like the graveyard.

Tom draws a spiral on his chest to illustrate the symbol.

I'm fine with going to the inn, but is playing for some money really the most urgent thing at the moment? With potentially deathly undead roaming around? I must say I agree with Radha, primary goal should be staking out the jail and then get some information from the priest.

Tom then walks silently thinking with the party till they encounter some children singing.

Tom strolls back towards Razagal, when he finds nothing but a vegetable garden.

Hey, did you hear anything from the villagers? You seemed to be doing a good job at gaining their trust. Glad you are here to talk to them, I never was good with people.

Tom then ponders on what to do next.

Maybe the library is best to gather more information.

So what next Raza? Should we check out the library to find out more on the history of this town or the order we are investigating?

When Razagal goes to the temple, Tom decides to take a stroll around the building and the cemetary (if it is there). He tries to spot anything suspicious and keeps and eye out for anything religious which can be linked to the case.

Tom follows Razagalto the center of town, while keeping his eyes open for anything out of place.

At the mention of the unnatural undead Tom's eyes narrow with hatred.

I prefer to just eradicate those ghosts, but I always needed some help from the professor with those bastards. So I guess they can hang around for a little while longer while we gather information.

I did have a nightmare, but do not really remember it except that it was terrifying.

Tom still looks a little pale and sweaty.

Then he nods at Razagal's comment.

Sounds like a good plan, where do you want to start? The library?

Tom is silently enjoying his breakfast, still a little shaken from the night.

Should I just get out of here and leave all this weirdness around?

He takes another piece of hard cheese and looks at Kendra who offers him a cup of tea.

No! I own it to the professor to at least look into this.

When the others come down he sizes them up and tries to think on the next steps. He waits till everyone takes some breakfast and then asks a question:

There is definitely something going on here. What do you all think?Maybe we should try to get some more information in the town hall and local library?

In the morning Tom wakes up with a fright when he hears the window creak.

Damn i'm covered in sweat, I haven't had a nightmare like this since, well ever.

Tom gets up and quickly splashes some water in his face. He then goes downstairs to see if anyone else is up yet.

Tom tries to remember anything on the Way or the Harrowstone.

Tom turns expectingly to Kendra after Razagal asks his question.

Tom reads the journal and is intrigued by the doctors recent entries.

I never knew he was investigating something this big, if only he had trusted me enough I could have helped him.

Tom makes a mental node to possibly make a nightly visit to the church of Pharasma.

What would he be looking for? Whatever it is we should try to get it

Then he turns to the others.

I don't like what is in here, whatever is about to happen we need to stop it! What do you think?

Tom doesn't feel the need to share before the crowd, but he listens with intent and recalls some moments he shared with Von Richten.

Meanwhile he thinks on the words of Razagal.

Murdered? Could it? Why didn't I suspect something?

Tom quickly glances over the crowd to size up the people there.

Tom walks with a brisk pace to the coffin and picks it up together with the others.

Radha whispers to Tom and he turns his head to answer in a whisper.

But she is right though, even if he was a little reclusive he had a major impact on so many of us.

So Tom decides to whisper back to Radha.

He then takes a good look at the priest to size him up.

Tom turns around as another person walks towards the house.

After the half-elf introduces himself Tom returns the favor.

Hello good sir. My name is Tom and I am an acquaintance of the late professor.

His answer is short and to the point, clearly he is not someone who spend a lot of time among other people.

Tom then solemnly stares off in the distance as if remembering the professor and some of the shared past they had.

Tom places his backpack, bow and sword in the hallway and follows behind Kendra and Radha in silence.

Despite his serious demeanor and the grave situation Tom can't help but chuckle at the odd sight of the gnome offering her arm to Kendra.

I am glad the professor saw me as important to him, but I really wonder why I am invited to the reading of the will.

The way things are in town these days? What does she mean by that.

Just as Tom asks the question he realizes he is being pretty blunt.

Tom is sitting in the corner of his favorite inn in town.

Damn this, I finally had a client who paid me on a regular basis and who I could trust to use the materials for good.

He is thinking of the salves the Professor made to help him vanquish some undeads. A week ago Tom had to use it all when he was clearing a a large group of zombies in the forest.

Next time it might not be so easy to destroy these unnatural things without the help of the Professor

After some hours of drinking and observing other patrons Tom gets up and goes to his room. Before he goes to sleep he reads the letter another time.

The next morning he gets up, have some breakfast and goes off to the professors house for the reading.
