After their initial debriefing, Tofana thanks Dawnfriend and Aluradux. She tells them they were good team members and wishes them luck on future assignments.

At the meeting with Hadif, when the First Seeker moves to activate the video call, but before the connection is complete, Tofana remembers a previously scheduled oral surgery and leaves the room hurriedly.

Tofana stares down at the (finally) dead gnome. She keeps staring while she steps back to retrieve her knife, while she walks forward and bends to wipe the knife's blade on the gnome's sleeve, and while she straightens up and sheathes the knife.

Her gaze snaps up to Aluradux when the lashunta speaks. She casually kicks Ainveln in the head while she walks over to Aluradux and the sapling.

"I am unsure. Plant organism repair is not a field in which I am experienced. Perhaps if we remove the inorganic contaminants the sapling will recover."

Like bipedal komodo dragon dogging its prey, Obozaya spins and pursues the guard. Unlike a komodo dragon, she has a flaming doshko instead of teeth. She drives the weapon into the guard's unprotected back.

Tofana is normally impassive, but now she frowns. "Ainveln is the primary target. He resists death. Could he be leeching from the tree to stay alive?"

The rifle was not effective, but she's pretty sure if she severs his neck, no amount of magic can save him. She looks down for her knife.

cmlobue, can she pick up the dropped knife as part of her 5' move to Ainveln's side, or will that be two actions?

I do believe Tofana's down to 2 rounds of sickness.

Tofana lunges at the bodyguard, but her real target is still Ainveln. She lands hard on her forward foot, pushes off and reverses direction and moves to head off Ainveln.

She's going to draw AoO from both of them, I do believe.

Tofana steps clear of the entangling plants to contain the bleachling and flank with Obo again and after swinging her rifle unconvincingly as a feint, slashes at the gnome with her knife.

Hey would Ainveln casting entanglement have earned him AoOs from us? Also, if Ainveln has a melee weapon drawn, Tofana's going to draw an AoO for movement unless she can move a careful 5' diagonal as part of a trick attack.

Tofana is gratified to see the guard remove himself, but somewhat dismayed to see him attack Dawnfriend. "Dawnfriend, look out."

Still the guard has given her an opening to the primary target. Tofana hits her jump jets to skip over the tres adorbs lion and drops toward Ainveln from above, trying to surprise him with her knife in his head.

Tofana watches Obo lurch away from the guard with some dismay. Vesk. How did Obo get so far north of the gnome? Her position makes no sense based on the text.

The android tries to twist away from the sword -- unsuccessfully. There're a series of alerts as her outer membrane ruptures and underlying systems take damage, but there's more than physical damage. Some malady spreads from the wound, corrupting system functions.

Too close for the rifle, Tofana releases one hand and swings the firearm half-hearted and club-like with one arm, while the other hand produces her knife.

"Don't hurt the sapling." Tofana mutters sacastically, but she lowers her rifle and runs left to find a line of fire that doesn't cross the ailing crystal-buboed tree. "But what if ending the sapling is the easiest way to stop the forest-killing gnome?"

She clears another blighted tree and aims at Ainveln. The fact that the damai is in the way is a feature, not a bug.

Tofana watches over Aluradux's shoulder. When she sees the third entry, she points to it on the screen. "This information partially fulfils our mission parameters. Now all we need to do is stop the kinwood harvesting operation."

She steps slightly to her right to obscure the view from the doorway, then bends forward a little and taps her forehead with her index finger while looking intently at Aluradux.

Can we pull the drive and bring it, or just copy it?

Tofana looks at Obozaya and makes an executive decision to do the computers now. She looks at Aluradux and nods toward the console.

Computer hacking provides opportunity for 10 minute rest to Obo and Dawnfriend. Tofana fancies herself a hacker, but Aluradux is better. So I'll roll aid.

Tofana feigns pain from her earlier wound to appear less a threat. It shouldn't be hard given the vesk on the other side of the damai, but she's not very convincing. It doesn't prevent her from taking some small satisfaction in shooting the damai in the back.

Tofana fakes a lunge for her knife. This puts her close enough to the console, that she can feel its currents tickle her brain and she latches on to that. A feeble pair of sparks erupt from a cooling vent. It doesn't even register with the damai.

Obozaya immediately wades in to fill the gap left behind Tofana. She drops her rifle, and shrugs her doshko into her hands. The weapon flares to life and swings in a vicious horizontal swipe at the closer damai.

"Dawnfriend, step back from the bad sentients."

Tofana circles behind the skitter, while levering her rifle upward one handed from her hip to point vaguely at the second damai. But it's the knife she's lowered somewhat concealed by Dawnfriend, that's the real threat. As she clears Dawnfriend, the knife flicks up in a quick underhanded toss.

It's going for that gun. And Tofana like it better if it's not free to use it. The android quickly recovers her balance and pursues the damai into the room.

A trace of computer generated EM tickles her brain, she locks on and the console screen goes painfully, glaringly, red. White words, POLICE! RUN! appear on the screen.

Tofana brings her knife down on the damai's shoulder.

Tofana follows the skittermander at a more deliberate pace. Her rifle is ready while she keeps looking around, especially for signs of anyone on the catwalks.

Forgot to renew Tofana's store of healing serums. I've got nothing for the NPCs. Not that Tofana would give them anything unless one of the team asked her to.
Alternate plan: Leave. drop off Moss Grove. Heal up and come back loaded for bear. We move in fast, hopefully too fast to take the damage and hit the mill.
2nd alternate. Get into the mill ASAP. It's got to be shielded from the psychic damage or all we'll find is corpses.
