It sounds like you've already played Pathfinder Society. If you are interested in that style of game, Paizo has their event finder, but you may have better luck using warhorn.

I would recommend going to your local card and comic shop as well. If you go to a local shop where they hold games such as Magic The Gathering or Warhammer, then you can ask about any games going on. Depending on the size of your area there may be a good amount of people you could get in contact with or you may only find one group of people playing a different game. But either way, going to your local shop is still a good thing to do because it will allow you to start trying to build a local network. If all else fails, you can try online groups via Virtual Table Tops or Play by Post.

There's a flgs that I frequent pretty often but they're more focused on Warhammer 40K and MtG than other games, but I'll check.

Find a group and start playing. That is the best way to learn the game: simply get some people together and play. The corebook and bestiary are all you need to run the game, but you can learn everything about Pathfinder online without spending a dime if you prefer. The Rules Archive has been my go to source of information for years.

I recommend picking up the starter box if you have the money to spare. It boils Pathfinder down to the essentials, and gives you everything you need to get started in one set.

I got an ID from a convention last summer where I tried Pathfinder for the first time and was told to sign up here so I guess it's better late than never to start posting.

I'm extremely new to RPGs and I'd like to know more about Pathfinder and how I can play it, I already have the core rulebook but not much else.
