Hi. Never been here before, but this isn't an introduction. Long story short, I homebrew almost everything for my worlds/adventures/history/royalty/etc. I know it's not play-tested, and some homebrews lead to misadventure, but so far, it's been alright, and hasn't stopped the game.
Point is, I'm making some gods for Pathfinder. I'm not used to the system, having stuck with custom-friendly systems before. I have a couple weeks writing into this world, and I did main gods last because it hasn't come up. Just FYI.
TLDR; If you give a god multiple favored weapons, how badly is this going to come back to bite you? I don't mean spear and long spear, I mean if I give a god favored weapons long sword and shield, for shield bash, is this going to OP my clerics? Does it have an effect on my god? Does a god gain proficiency in any of their favored weapons?
I ask, 'cause I intend to do a lot of bumming around in this world with the same characters in the same places, and the stakes are eventually going to get bigger and bigger. If one of my players wants to fight a god, I am probably going to let them, and make it really difficult. So does favored weapon do anything for the gods/goddesses, or should I just leave it at one, and just give them weapon proficiency?
P.S; I'm only asking cause it's 4 AM, and I'm hoping for a wizened old GM to come explain it to me real stupid like, so I can understand in my fatigue addled mind. (I accidentally posted to Starfinder advice first :P)
