Greetings all. I've searched about the forums and couldn't find much details about this product line, so there are some questions I want to ask with this franchise.
How "loyal" it is to the video game?
How good it is compare to Pathfinder, Vampire: the Masquerade, 4e, 7th Sea, Forgotten Realms, Planescape, or any other product lines you have encountered?
My gaming background: I first started playing Basic D&D back in 1995 and changed my interest when I met the Revised edition of V:TM, then I've played Rolemaster, 2e, 3e, 3.5e, Champions, Alternity, 7th Sea, Legend of Five Rings.
The computer game, kind of mediocre adaptation of some cheap cliche, ok good well laid plots with some good characters. However this thing serves me well as a one night stand partner more than long term enjoyment. So I wonder how's Green Ronin's writing on this settings? I'm a fan of Conan savagery dark fantasy as well as the in depth intrigue of A Song of Ice and Fire, but DA:O the computer game who claimed to be an inspiration from AGoT, disppointed me in terms of plots and background stories.
