Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Welcome aboard! Looking forward to having you in the game.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Dream:
Timmon grabs onto Batu, holding him and trying to comfort him from the pain he obviously feels. Then as the plane contorts a look of fear comes across his face. "I have always feared being alone but this is different, it feels as though there is nothing, everything is being stripped away." He tries desperately to hang on to Batu as everything fades away and he is left struggling to breathe. Batu becomes thinner and suddenly Timmon is grasping at nothing as Batu fades into oblivion, replaced only with blackness and void. Timmons eyes fill with tears and as they stream down his cheeks he cries out. "Not like this! Not alone!" He sees the dragon smiling as he twists the last of reality away and yells with his last breath "I will not let you destroy it all! Damn you to the deepest hells!"

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Sorry, was away for the weekend and the laptop I had with me died the first night. :(

I will interact with the dream a little later when I have some more time, until then here is the save.
Will Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

"Wat een gezicht. Ik zou niet denken dat de draak heren zou een van hun eigen soort in deze staat te laten."

Camthi:
What a sight. I wouldn't think that the dragon lords would leave one of their own kind in this state.

Timmon looks over the skeletal remains of the dragon, looking for a large tooth or claw.
He then heads over towards the tent, carefully approaching it as both he and Batu peer into it and what might be inside.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

I say go for it but it may be 3 against 1 with that thought. The dragon is thoroughly distracted right now and we need to try and keep ahead of the the dragon's troops.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

How far away is the dragon? I assume that as long as we move cautiously we could remain hidden from the dragon as he appears distracted.

Timmon motions for the others and points away from the dragon in the distance. "Ne yapıyorsun?Kurtulmak için, ölü evine geri dönemeyiz.Çabuk, kaçabilir."

Sharrim:
What are you doing? We need to get away, not go back into the house of the dead. Quickly, we can escape.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Survival: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13

Timmon, using his hands to reduce the glare of the sun looks around and sees the dragon circling afar and tightens visibly. "Ejderha bizi buldu!Çabuk, gözden kaçıp uzaklaşmak gerekir!Bizi bu yüksek yerden aşağıya alalım, ama belki de tam burada, güvenli iniş için biraz dik bir bakar.Yürü!"

Sharrim:
The dragons have found us! Quickly, we must escape from sight, get away from here! Let us get down from this high ground, but maybe not right here, that looks to be a little steep for safe descent. Move!

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Can we not just "take 10" on the acrobatics checks?

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Sorry about the lack of posting, been crazy busy at work and now iPhone is sent to apple to repair the gps. I will check when I can and keep posting.
Let's get this game going! We are falling behind the dragon thread!

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Timmon looks up, spreading his arms out, basking in the sunlight. Eindelijk zon!

Camthi:
Finally sunlight! I had almost given up on ever seeing you again. Let us get out of this house of the dead and back into the world of the living.

Timmon has a brief conversation with Batu and then utters a few words and Batu melds into the ground and is gone.
Turning to the others here he speaks in both common tongues.
Camthi&Sharrim:
Let us get out of here brothers, we have lost one down here already, let us get out before other tragedy befalls us again.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Sweat is beading off of Timmon's brow as he puts more and more effort in to striking the door with his staff, sparks flying off every time he strikes.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

OOC thread = good

Timmon, trying to get the door open takes his magical staff and presses the burning end onto the door, first by the scorch marks and then other places all over it.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Timmon looks puzzled at the images, chatting with Batu in their strange language.
Linguistics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

While the others are looking over the tablets and alcoves Timmon goes over to one of the statues and looks at the weapons that they are holding, saying "Detegendas magicas" as he gets close. (Cast Detect Magic)
(Are they similar to the statues where we found the staffs, are the weapons real or just sculpted replicas?)
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

DM Caleth:
Unless specified otherwise, assume that where-ever Timmon goes, Batu is adjacent to him.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
DM Caleth: What is the square object to the SW (looks like fire on top it?)

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

After making sure that everyone is okay and a quick examination of the attacking creatures Timmon heads picks up his lit piece of bone and continues towards the tablet on the floor. Being ever careful by checking nooks and crannies for any other creatures.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Can we start a separate OOC thread for this game? It would nice to get some conversation going that doesn't get confused with the other group.
Tama: I will take the Studded Leather and you can use the Chain Shirt.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Sorry about this weekend, I never got close to my computer at all.
Tama: Since it appears that Lylindra has perished during the night in the tomb above would you like to have the Studded Leather or the Chain Shirt? I will take which ever is left over.
Who is taking the dagger?

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

My turn after Samaerew goes: I assume that he will be moving to F4 in order to assault the remaining creature. So if the critter still stands after his vicious assault the following happens:
The pooch though horribly wounded continues to struggle against the creature grappling it.
Dog Grapple: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Batu seeing the dog still being held, moves up and swings his stoney fist at the creature.
Move to F3. Batu Slam Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 4 + 1 = 15, Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 = 8

Vitals:

Celestial Dog: HP:1/8, AC:13 (11 Grappled)
Batu: HP:11/14, AC:15
Timmon: HP:19/20, AC:13

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

I think that Samaerew still has an action before the creatures turn. It won't change the turn for you Caleth but it might kill the dazed one if he can hit.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

The celestial dog snarls and tries ineffectively to escape the grapple.
Dog CMB to escape grapple: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Batu attempts to crush the creature holding on to Tama but by trying to not hit Tama his slams strike nothing but air.
Batu 1st Slam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5, Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Batu 2nd Slam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8, Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

If Byarsh's dazing attack doesn't work then take the following action.
Timmon utters "Arvina" and points to Tama.
Cast Grease on Tama's armor granting him +10 to escape artist/CMB to escape grapples/CMD to avoid grapples.
If Byarsh's stunning attack does work and it looks like Tama will escape with ease then Timmon will delay his action.

Well it looks like my awesome combat dice are back! 2 nat 1's already!

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

"Tama, hangen, ik ga proberen en gratis je."

Camthi:
Tama, hang on, I am going to try and free you.

Timmon moves closer to Tama uttering "Adhibete monstrum" as Batu moves around Tama and strikes at the creature.
Batu move to G5 (will provoke if somehow this creature can threaten from grapple).
Timmon moves to F6 and summons a celestial dog to E4 (as long as there is room to do so as the square is not clear at this point, if not to F4).
Batu Slam Attack(Flank): 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 2 = 7, Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Celestial Dog Bite(Flank): 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 2 = 19, Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 (+1 if target is evil).

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

do grappled creatures share the same square or are they side by side?

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Timmon Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
While Timmon waits for the others to come down the pit he makes sure that his staff is shining brightly and then picks up the piece of bone he has illuminated and tosses it around the corner peering around carefully to see what is there.
"Deze passage lijkt te zijn geweest treden op mijn ontelbare voeten, vraag ik me af wat het was gebruikt voor zoveel jaar eerder. Hopelijk is het een pad dat leidt ons naar de zon weer. Krijg je een goed gevoel over ziener?"

Camthi:
This passage seems to have been tread upon my countless feet, I wonder what it was used for so many years before. Hopefully it is a path that will lead us out to the sun once again. Do you get a good feeling about it seer?

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Timmon looks down the pit after dropping a lit bone down then turns to Samaerew. "Diğer tarafta güneş bize yakın daha aşağı tam olarak nasıl gidiyor yok?Ama bir yere kadar gelmek zorunda sanırım.O ilk inmek ve orada ne olduğunu bildirin, böylece Batu karanlıkta görebilirsiniz."

Sharrim:
How exactly does going further down get us closer to the sun on the other side? But I guess it has to come up somewhere. Batu can see in the dark so he can go down first and let us know what is down there.

My assumption is that we have some rope within the party, basic supplies taken from the nomad camp.
Timmon asks the others to hold on to the rope while Batu climbs down. (Take 10 climb check). Batu has 60'darkvision as well as there being a piece of bone with light on it being down there and he reports back up to Timmon in Terran with anything dangerous or unusual. If nothing of immediate threat, Timmon will climb down after.
Batu Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Party Treasure:

I am not sure if anything was actually decided on for the gear from the undead fight. The following was found:
Bronze Chain Shirt - Lylindra or Tama?
Studded Leather - Lylindra or Tama?
Composite Shortbow (+1 Str) - Claimed by Tama. (Not sure if there were arrows)
Scorpion Whip (UC) - Not claimed.
Bronze Khopesh (APG; in this world a martial weapon) - Samaerew should take this as an alternate weapon to his trident unless someone else want to claim it.
Please claim what you want and the rest will be considered just carried.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

DM Caleth: are there any other things of interest in the tomb? I am wondering about the dark square at the bottom of the right side. does there appear to be any exits to the tomb in order to pass through the other side?

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Of course I am still interested. This is a very cool concept and campaign so far and I want to discover where it goes from here.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Timmon Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

I am pretty sure that everyone agrees that we will rest. We will obviously set up a watch system of some sort (everyone takes a few hours) so unless there is something happening in the middle of the night we can probably fast forward to morning with our character sheets all updated.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

"Ik wil niet totdat we hier weg, maar als het iedereen wil, ik denk dat we zullen rusten. Ik ben niet graag te blijven onderzoeken door mijn zelf."

Camthi:
I really don't want to until we are out of here but if the everyone else wants to, I guess we will rest. I am not keen to continue exploring by my self.

Sharrim:
It would seem that the others have determined that this is a good place to rest up before exiting this house of the dead. I am not sure I agree but I will stay if required, I hope that the spirits of your ancestors do not take offense.

Just to let you know, I am going to be traveling for the next 24-27 hours, including a 12 hour plane ride (blech). So do not get alarmed if I seem to vanish from the internet in that time, I promise that I will check what is going on when I can.

This will just not do. *points to contract* See here where it says that DM Caleth (Hereafter referred to as god) will be reading the forum and posting as required every four to six hours or more as desired by the players (hereafter referred to as peons).

Looks pretty cut and dry from where I sit. You will in fact be required to force a landing of the plane at least once to check the forum and update for our enjoyment. If this contract is not met then the peons will be filing a complaint against god with the relevant authorities.

You have been warned!

P.S. Have a good trip!

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Why am I getting all these good rolls on unimportant perception checks?

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Timmon looks tired but he seems to jump at every footstep that is made or heavy breath. "Deze plaats is niet goed bij mij. Ik ben uitgeput ongelofelijk na de lange dag van reizen en de strijd tegen de opgestane doden, maar ik weet niet of ik zal voelen comfortabel genoeg om uit te rusten totdat we uit deze plaats."

Camthi:
This place does not sit well with me. I am exhausted beyond belief after the long day of travel and the fight against the risen dead but I am not sure I will feel comfortable enough to rest until we are out of this place.

Sharrim:
I do not like it here. How large do these houses for the dead get? Is it likely to be far to the sun on the other side? I see such reverence and respect to this one who has past, such a change to the lack of care given to those who have fallen under the whip of the dragons. This man must have been very important to be afforded such a resting place, was he a great king? A warrior? or just a man of great wealth?

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Timmon Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Timmon slowly approaches the stairs, picking up a piece of bone from the floor and speaking "Lumen" as light appears on the bone. Timmon tosses the bone down the stairs hoping to get some sort of idea of the area below.
Assuming there is nothing of immediate threat, Timmon will move over to the statue, taking time to investigate at the images on the base.

DM Caleth: As it appears that we are not done with this tomb but have leveled, how do you want to handle the increased HP, Spells, Etc? Do we get them now or once we have rested? (Do I suddenly get one more casting of a 1st level spell or do I still have none left but will get 3 when I rest?).

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

After taking a few moments to recover, Timmon heads back out into the main chamber using his staff to illuminate the southern part of the room.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

As Timmon lays his hand on the glowing crystal his eyes suddenly open wide, his body convulses momentarily and then goes perfectly still as if paralyzed. His eyes start to shift rapidly and his breathing intensifies, you see sweat starting to form on his brow and then suddenly he is released from this state. He removes his hand from the crystal, trying to regulate his breathing and wiping the sweat from his brow.
"Wat is er gebeurd? Ik zag net de meest verbazingwekkende dingen. Werelden op werelden, de wil heb ik nog nooit gehoord had, laat staan gezien. Heeft de rest van je ziet het ook? Zo mooi en zo beangstigend tegelijk."

Camthi:
What just happened? I just saw the most amazing things. Worlds upon worlds, the likes I have never even heard of before let alone seen. Did the rest of you see it too? So beautiful and so frightening all at once.

After leveling does everyone speak either Sharrim or Camthi? Just wondering if we can start using a single language and not having to translate basic conversation.
Has anyone claimed the Bronze Chain Shirt? If no-one else (who would make better use of it) wants it then Timmon will take it.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

DM Caleth:
How about something along the lines of a bonus to Know(Planes) and a bonus to Diplomacy when dealing with extra-planar creatures. Bonus planar languages?

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

DM Caleth:
Finding a way to tie the 3.5 stuff into the APG is a cool idea, I just really don't think that the summon desert ally is the way to go for Timmon. For 1st level summons to get another +4 str, +4 ac and dr5 is just way overpowered. You know how nasty the basic summons were in the first fight, at 2nd level I get Augment Summoning as a bonus feat so they get tougher and more dangerous already.
I am wondering if there is some way to get something a little more role-playing oriented rather than increasing character power. Skills or feats maybe?

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

DM Caleth:
Maybe I need to clarify the post above. The Summon Desert Ally really doesn't fit with Timmon's goal of being an elemental summoner. Once I hit 3rd level and from then on out, you won't see many other summons but elementals. (Hence taking the modified trait of Elemental Scion). Maybe we could work the boon so that I am able to summon the new kinds of elementals from the bestiary 2 (Ice, Lightning, Magma, Mud).
Also at early levels the Dustform creatures are just insane powerful. Once you get higher levels they become far less useful than regular summons.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

DM Caleth:
As cool as the desert ally summoning is, in my opinion dustform creatures are just crazy broken. I am going to be fairly powerful as a master summoner as it is and the last thing I want to make it even worse. Might you rethink the boon you you grant Timmon? Not sure what though.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Timmon at first looks at the wondrous glowing stone from a distance, watching the others, seeming to try and understand the magic and power that could create such a thing, let alone sustain it for centuries. He seems almost overcome with excitement over seeing an item like this.
"Samaerew, gerçekten güvenli olduğunu? Bu antik güç bir eserdir? Kontrol edilebilir mi?Bu nasıl oluşturulur olurdu?Ne kadar olabilir?Bu geri gelen ölünün ruhları bozuk var mı?Ben anlamıyorum.Ama güvenli olduğunu söylüyorlar.Ancenstors, tehlikeli ise, bilmeli.Tamam, ben bir yaklaşım ama bana kötü bir şey olur emin olun."

Sharrim:
Samaerew, it truly is safe? This is an artifact of ancient power? Can it be controlled? How would this have been created? How long might this have been here? Is this what corrupted the souls of the deceased into coming back? I just don't understand. But you say it is safe. It is of your ancestors, you should know if it is dangerous. Okay, I will approach but make sure nothing bad happens to me.

Timmon gets close and tentatively reaches out and places his hand on it, scrunching his eyes close, almost as if he is not sure if it will be searing hot.

DM Caleth:
2nd Level HP Roll: 1d8 ⇒ 8. I think I will be keeping that roll!!!! WOOT!

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

As much as this character will really start to bloom at 3rd level (would really love the 2nd level summons) I have to find myself agreeing with Byarsh on the process of discovery for these characters. 3rd level at this point might seem like too much of a jump. I say we go with 2nd and then see where things go from there. How are we going to level with HP rolls? I might suggest what I do in RL games. The player rolls HP and if unhappy with the roll get the DM to roll instead and is stuck with that roll even if it is lower. It doesn't increase the HP that much but it does tend to prevent the 1&2 rolls. Just my 2cp on it.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Stealth post Map for me at least.
Here is the Map Link if you can't see it.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

This action is going to be assuming that the 14 bludgeoning +2 fire damage that Timmon has done to the skeleton in F10 was enough to take it out.

Timmon yells out to Batu "קומען נעענטער און איך וועל היילן איר."

Terran:
Come closer and I will heal you.

Batu carefully moves closer to Timmon (5ft to G9) striking out ineffectually at the khopesh wielding skeleton as he goes.
Batu 1st Slam Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6, Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Batu 2nd Slam Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9, Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

As Batu moves in Timmon utters "Sana minus amicum", his hand glows and then he touches Batu, the light surrounding and closing some of the stoney creatures wounds.
Cast Rejuvenate Eidolon, Lesser: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

More Ranting:
My avg attack roll has been 7.8 (even with the 3 20's, take those out and it is 6.1)

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

As the skeleton in front of him pulls the whip back, Timmon again seizes the opportunity to strike.
Timmon AoO Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15, Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6+1 Fire
I am hoping that is enough to drop the skeleton and prevent that nasty hit.

DM Caleth:
On my next action I am planning to have Timmon cast Rejuvenate Eidolon on Batu and want to know how you rule on this. Can Timmon cast where he is without having to cast defensively, then 5ft and touch Batu?

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Timmon once again raises his staff to strike the skeleton in front of him but his lack of familiarity with actual fighting shows through and he misses once more.
Timmon Quarterstaff Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8, Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5+1 Fire

Batu will either full attack the zombie in H7 if it is still up after Lylindra's attack or move to H10 and single attack the skeleton in H11 if the zombie is disabled.
Batu 1st Slam Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25, Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Confirm Critical: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6, Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 *sigh*
Batu 2nd Slam Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9, Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Thought I would cast Dispel Confusion by reposting the Initiative order.

Tama you are next.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

DM Caleth:
You never did answer the question as to whether the fire staff was consider Masterwork, if so add +1 to the attacks.

As the skeleton rears back to use the whip Timmon sees an opportunity to strike.
Timmon AoO Quarterstaff Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14, Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8+1 Fire

The whip cuts into Timmons face, drawing blood but instead of wincing in pain Timmon rears back to strike again at the skeleton, his eyes full of rage at a new whip scar that will be forming in the days to come. The anger causing Timmon to rear back further than he should and he ends up striking the ground directly in front of the skeleton, sparks flying off the end of the staff as it hits.
Timmon Quarterstaff Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4, Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4+1 Fire

Batu retaliates against the skeleton that just dug his claws in (I7), launching a strike that shatters nearly every bone the skeleton has.
Batu 1st Slam Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25, Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Confirm Critical Threat: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25, Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

My assumption is that the 11 damage will put the skeleton down.
Seeing the bone splinters everywhere Batu then swings his mighty fist down upon the nearest zombie (H7)
Batu 2nd Slam Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18, Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Love the double 20s but then I follow it up with a 1 & 2 on the damage dice. *sigh*

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

DM Caleth: would you be able to post an updated map with which creatures are down and which ones have takes hits already? Nothing like having a whole bunch of enemies that have been hit already and then attacking a whole one.
