So, I was looking over Clerics, and I was hoping for some clarification.
Apparently, Clerics do not have to worship a specific god, so that is kind of neat, and as long as they meet the alignment requirements, they can chose any domain.
My question is, it does not state that the domains are static, in effect, you could pray and change domains, not every day, but, you -could-. It doesn't say they can, or can not change it. So, I think that leaves it up to the DM's discretion.
One of our players says no, its static and once you pick it, its set in stone. So, I thought I'd ask you guys, since you have alot more experience at this then I do.
The excerpt I've read and re-read is:
A cleric's deity influences her alignment, what magic she can perform, her values, and how others see her. A cleric chooses two domains from among those belonging to her deity. A cleric can select an alignment domain (Chaos, Evil, Good, or Law) only if her alignment matches that domain. If a cleric is not devoted to a particular deity, she still selects two domains to represent her spiritual inclinations and abilities (subject to GM approval). The restriction on alignment domains still applies.
Each domain grants a number of domain powers, dependent upon the level of the cleric, as well as a number of bonus spells. A cleric gains one domain spell slot for each level of cleric spell she can cast, from 1st on up. Each day, a cleric can prepare one of the spells from her two domains in that slot. If a domain spell is not on the cleric spell list, a cleric can prepare it only in her domain spell slot. Domain spells cannot be used to cast spells spontaneously.
In addition, a cleric gains the listed powers from both of her domains, if she is of a high enough level. Unless otherwise noted, activating a domain power is a standard action.
Nowhere does it say you can not change it, or that you can change it. Could a cleric, whether he was aligned with a single god, or worshipping a pantheon of an alignment of gods. Can he change his domains?
I was looking up info about Anti-paladins, and I was hoping I could fudge it a little bit. The info says that AP's can only be Chaotic Evil. But, I'm wanting to play a Lawful Evil AP, I've wrote up my own campaign and while it would be fun to be a monk, I'm really wanting to be a AP, under the guise of a Warrior.
Is there anyway I could fudge being a LE AP?
In our game, the DM game 2 characters some pretty epic Artifacts, but only 2 of the 4 of us and, I don't think he has any intention of giving the other two(me and my boyfriend) equal level treasure. So, I've been asked to run a campaign with the same characters, on something of a rescue mission, and it is to take place in the Plane of Acheron. I plan to give the other two members artifacts that bolster their normal array of abilities.
Anyway, I'm looking for something called: Sphere of Fighter, and Sphere of Wizard, or some derivative thereof.
If I can't find the spheres, I'll just have to cook up my own 2 home-made Artifacts, to even the playing field.
Could I use a Metamagic rod in the creation of a weapon, let me explain.
I was thinking of using a Metamagic Rod as a handle for a sword hilt, like, I make a greatsword and the Rod itself is the handle. Since I haven't seen any artwork, or a real description of the size of the rods, I thought I would ask here. I think it'd be really cool to have a metamagic rod in my hand at all times and it be my sword ontop of everything. :D

I'm running a short game, its just a city and 3 dungeons, followed by an epic level boss. The problem is, I'm not the main DM, he's currently busy, but, he allowed me to run a short interlude for the time being. I have the whole campaign worked out, thats not the issue. The issue is, the DM kind of plays favorites with 1 member in particular, and nothing I throw at her now, works.
She was a 18th level paladin, with Serithial, from the Curse of the Crimson Throne module. Then, after defeating Ileosa, she got the ring(and several 'good' cards from the deck of many things'. But, in the mean time, he led the Paladin and Sorcerer on a side adventure, and gave them both artifacts. So, on top of immunity to all sorts of stuff, saving throws in the upper 30's all around, and able to Brilliant Energy her sword more times then I can throw enemies at her, I'm really stuck. She also has leadership, and a level 16 silver dragon co-hort. (OH, and the artifact upped her to level 20, with everything else).
So, I need to know what I can throw at the Paladin, that isn't evil, outsider or half-dragon. She dropped an evil outsider of 300 HP in one shot. I'm looking for something that won't be affected by Brilliant Energy. This isn't supposed to be impossible, but, I at least want the players to feel like there was some challenge involved. Instead of just walking behind the Paladin who kills everything in one shot.
I stopped using Evil enemies, or outsiders(yeah, I went back and editted my adventure, but I mean, I want this to be fun, not a joke run for gold), I have 1 other evil char, and the other 2 bosses are neutral. But, with the BE power on her sword, I don't want to use a humanoid, if necessary, I'll make the boss a Golem, or Warforged, or something along those lines. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.
I'm looking for a free online mapmaking tool, I've not had much luck finding anything that was really good. I am working on making a short campaign for a solo, or small party. It will include a city, 3 major buildings(library, College of Magic, and City Hall) As well as 3 accompanying dungeons.
I've not found any good map makers for free, and, as I'm on a limited budget, I'd like to keep what little I have left in my pockets, if anyone has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. :)
