Dain is a renown paladin of Torag. He wished his son would be such a dwarf as well. However, Thorgan was passed up on initial recruitment by Torag's church, and was instead selected by Angradd. This weighs heavily on him, as he believes he is a disappointment who will never live up to his father's glories.
