About Thoradin Spangelhelm

Background:

Thoradin was not alive when the exodus happened, But his Father, a Cleric of Torag was. Fiercly deticated to his god, Thoradin's father Secertly continued his worship of Torag, spreading his Teachings to his son. While this allowed the teachings to be passed on, and not forgoten, it also cost Thoradin's father his life. He was put to death without a trial. In a Rage, Thoradin went to try and avenge his father, even if it ment his life as payment aswell. Before Dawning his Weapon, Torag apeared to Thoradin in a vision, explaining that revenge would solve nothing, and the best way to honor his father's memory was to continue to worship Torag, and some day, spread his teachings. Thus Thoradin took up his task with fervor, purpose, and a love for Justice and Order.

Standing 4'5" with Blonde Hair and Blue eyes, Thoradin is a quiet dwarf, he doesn't boast, he doesn't tell tall tales, but he does enjoy a good story about honor and valor. Like every dwarf, he enjoys a good brew, but only in moderation. He practices Smithing when he can, but spends mosts of his time speaking with people, and lending them his strong arm when in need. Thoradin isn't as smart, or as wise as his brother Elyk, but he is as charming. While his brother tended to the Temple, Thoradin focused on his martial skills, preparing to protect the temple against any evil that would do it harm. Although the younger of the two Spangelhelm's, Thoradin is a bit taller than his brother, which he has no qualms about bringing up in good fun.

A paladin of Torag's duty:
is first to protect her people, but defending the works and traditions of her culture Follow at a close second. These paladins are dedicated to protecting not just the lives but the lifestyles of those under their charge and hold the ways of their chosen people as holy, especially when they are the centuries-old ways of an entire race.

Their tenets include:

• My word is my bond. When I give my word formally, I defend my oath to my death. Traps lie in idle banter or thoughtless talk, and so I watch my tongue.

• I am at all times truthful, honorable, and forthright, but my allegiance is to my people. I will do what is necessary to serve them, including misleading others.

• I respect the forge, and never sully it with half hearted work. My creations reflect the depth of my faith, and I will not allow flaws save in direst need.

• Against my people's enemies I will show no mercy. I will not allow their surrender, except to extract information. I will defeat them, and I will scatter their families. Yet even in the struggle against our enemies, I will act in a way that brings honor to Torag.
