This Pathfinder character goal has been on the back burner due to life and not being able to find ANYTHING on Google regarding this. I finally decided to attempt this using Hero Lab and just try to wing it. And had fun attempting to create. But this Prestige Class cannot start out at Level 1, but as I reread page 32 in the Inner Sea Combat Campaign Setting - I focused on the sentence that says,"The enforcers, however, are investigators and spies who specialize in ferreting out hidden cults,...". I found in the Advanced Class Guide. Wow! COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than "most are simple soldiers who double as city guards." INCREDIBLE READ ! (I do not purchase additional books unless I need to.) I just no longer have time to read for endless amounts of hours. (Unless I am very luck after work..) So instead of starting out as a Sorcerer, Paladin, Brute Fighter and then 'losing faith', I will attempt to play an Investigator for Levels 1-4 or 5 AND THEN multi-class as a Pure Legion Enforcer. Or who knows, I may do what I did for my paladins. Which was play a whole bunch of paladins and see how many different paladins I can try. Having Hero Lab really was a GAME CHANGER for me. I have not enjoyed creating a character in Pathfinder on my own once. Without Hero Lab I would only create characters with my fellow experienced players after we finished our Core Pathfinder game. (none of the game stores in our area stay open that late anymore.) If anyone has built a Level 1-5 Investigator and have advice on what worked best for you - please share. Thank you in advance for your advice.

My gaming group let me know that when a character purchases healing potions or wands in PFS - it is not known if either are created by divine healers or not, so mechanically it doesn't matter. But theoretically, wands or potions made by bards or witches is the correct answer. Very interesting to find out all the ways that healing can be done without the divine or deities.
Has no one played a Pure Legion Enforcer Prestige Class yet? After Salim Ghadafar in 'Death's Heretic' Pathfinder Tales Novel by James L. Sutter - this type of character should be AMAZING ! Forget Anti-Paladin, THIS should be the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of a paladin. Really? No experienced player or GM has tried this Prestige Class??
For a Pure Legion Enforcer Prestige Class what is the best way to heal WITHOUT the use of divine healing? Combat & Damage are a constant in PFS gameplay. Really glad that I have not starting building this character yet. This is pretty important to figure out how long this prestige class could live in the game..
I have learned that the Order of the First Law is NOT PFS legal, but the Pure Legion Enforcer Prestige Class is. I have a Male Human (Kellid) 4th Level Fighter that currently has Gorum as the selected Deity and Liberty's Edge as the selected Faction. I figure that Liberty's Edge freedom from slavery (humanoid) may work well with Pure Legion Enforcer's freedom from slavery (to deities). I would like some advice regarding best practices as to role-playing this Prestige Class at the table and in the scenarios (what works best interacting with NPCs) and what works best with fellow pathfinders in my Party (and players). Before I design, convert, and play this Prestige Class - I will of course discuss it with my Venture Captain and GM beforehand. But I would really appreciate advice and feedback from the Pathfinder Society RPG Forum also. Thank you in advance.

I am in the process of building a character for the Pure Legion Enforcer Prestige class and wanted to make sure that I understood the Godless Healing Feat Correctly. "1d8 plus your total Hit Dice" when Character hit points are below 1/2 normal So if I am a 5th Level Fighter that means I could then roll
I hope this is the correct section to post this in. We used to play Pathfinder Society in a game shop that stayed open until midnight which was really nice because we could spend time together AFTER the game working on our characters. I learned that 1 hour with experienced players was equal to about 10 hours or more trying to work things out alone at home with my Rulebook. Unfortunately that game shop closed so we do not have luxury after playing anymore. So my question is this:
Or somewhere else? Thank you in advance.
AnimatedPaper thank you for your honesty.
I am only on page 9 and I have to say I very much am encouraged by what I have read so far (and in the posts above). Also I believe much more in Functionality (necessity) as a priority than Artistry (not absolutely necessary) in a game system. With this printing, text and fonts are more plain and CLEAR having a nice HIGH CONTRAST on the printed page. The artwork that I have seen so far in the book are very attractive but do not reduce the functionality of READING a book. For players with VISION ISSUES (eyes getting older), this seriously affects playing the game and learning it. Game Stores and Conventions are notorious for dim lighting. Libraries and my home seem to be only places that have READING LIGHTS. This printing of the PLAYTEST MATERIALS addresses this issue. There are so many priorities in this game system that are being addressed and worked on. With Paizo having such extremely limited resources, I am not sure that Artwork should consume SO MUCH of those resources (focus on the T-Shirts and non-essentials). I do enjoy the artwork in this book. And appreciate the focus being put on the ESSENTIAL - learning the GAME. Thank you!
3rd this request. I believe Functionality should come before Artistry. If I cannot download the character sheet and type in the data, does it still count as functional? With the sheer amount of data that is handwritten (should I get a fountain pen and ink?) on a character sheet; it makes the task daunting - the idea of having a fresh character sheet with each Level. I like the idea of inputting the Character Sheet Data and then printing it. And for those of us whose eyes are getting older (and lighting in Games Stores is generally dim), OLD EYES need BOLD and LARGER FONT to make it easier to read. Or is this ONLY available on Roll20 ? If a fellow Computer Wizard could answer some of these issues, I would greatly appreciate it. I really, really, really want to create a Playtest Material Character soon.... Thank you in advance for someone's help with this.
Hello fellow Pathfinders. I am brand new on the message boards. I have a question. I have a Kindle. And I have purchased Hard Copies at my local game stores and I have purchased downloads also. My question is this: with the beautiful artwork in each Paizo Product, IF you do NOT get the Hard Copy - do you prefer to read your product on your laptop, desktop OR are you satisfied with reading it on your Color Kindle ?? I have never tried it on my Kindle yet and I wonder with a 6" screen, would it be enjoyable or frustrating? With the cost of printing, ink and the HEAVY artwork load - I have been frustrated when trying to print out the Rules for Society Play for myself. Just looked awful. My laptop is good for reading when at home, but I do not want to carry ANOTHER thing to games in addition to my sportbag with my books in it. (Staples charges 50 cents per page for color printing which would add $16.00 to the cost of a printed pdf product and I assume not look as nice either..) What have you been the MOST satisfied with when using, reading, printing your PDF's? |
