Hello all. I`m looking for advice on where to next take my Inquisitor character. He has just turned 6th level, but I don`t know what career path I should send him on. I am thinking of keeping him an Inquisitor until 8th level, so as to gain my third level spells and an additional attack.
We rolled for stats, and I got lucky. I wanted him to be very good at interacting with people, and to be keen-eyed an alert. The feats i`ve chosen are not optimised for any particular progression path, but seemed to fit into the character background I wanted.
Here he is:
Human, Male. N.G. Inquisitor Level 6 {Pharasma} A.C. 25. H.P. 48 INIT. +6
STR 13
DEX 16
CON 14
INT 13
WIS 16
CHA 16
Pharasma Domain: Knowledge.
Weapons:
Rapier. 1d6+3 {+8} Heavy Mace. 1d8+1 {+6} Longbow. 1d8 {+7}
Saves: Fortitude +7 Reflex +5 Will +8
Feats:
Alertness, Persuasive, Weapon Focus {Rapier}, Shield Focus, Precise Strike, Shield Wall.
{Rapier allowed by G.M. as Deity weapon instead of dagger}.
Skills:
Bluff +10, Climb +5, Diplomacy +13, Disable Device +7, Disguise +7, Heal +7, Intimidate +16, Knowledge Arcana +5, Dungeoneer +5, History +5, Local +5, Nature +5,
Nobility +5, Planes +5, Religion +5, Perception +13, Ride +8, Sense Motive +13, Spellcraft +5, Stealth +11, Survival +11 {Tracking +14}, Swim +5.
All values above include feats, equipment etc.
Spells:
0 Level- Create Water, Detect Magic, Detect Poison, Disrupt Undead, Light, Read Magic.
1st Level- Bless, Cure Light Wounds, Disguise Self, Hide from Undead.
2nd Level- Cure Moderate Wounds, Silence, Invisibility, Flames of the Faithful.
Equipment:
Breastplate +2, Heavy Shield +1, Rapier of Penetrating +2, Masterwork Heavy Mace,
Dagger +1 {Bane vs Shapeshifers}, Hand of Glory, Masterwork Thieves Tools, various potions and a few magic arrows {My D.M. is tight with items / money}
He`s no front-line fighter, but he`s quick, has good defences {A.C. 25 plus Judgement Protection, and Shield Wall}, and can dish out some damage with his Bane ability, Flames of the Faithful and Precise Strike.. I would like him to become a warrior for his religion, but don`t necessarily want to go down the Paladin route as he is neutral good. I don`t really like using a rapier, as it doesn`t fit in with the heavy-armoured warrior I want him to become, so some martial weapon proficiencies would be good. He also has decent healing spells and some buffs.
So far, my options seem to be Fighter, Cavalier, Cleic and Paladin. But should I go for an archtype? I will probably put any new feats into defensive abilities, to keep his armour class high.
