SPECIAL ABILITIES
--------------------
Unarmed Strike:At 1st level, a monk gains Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat. A monk's attacks may be with fist, elbows, knees, and feet. This means that a monk may make unarmed strikes with his hands full. There is no such thing as an off-hand attack for a monk striking unarmed. A monk may thus apply his full Strength bonus on damage rolls for all his unarmed strikes.

Usually a monk's unarmed strikes deal lethal damage, but he can choose to deal nonlethal damage instead with no penalty on his attack roll. He has the same choice to deal lethal or nonlethal damage while grappling.
A monk's unarmed strike is treated as both a manufactured weapon and a natural weapon for the purpose of spells and effects that enhance or improve either manufactured weapons or natural weapons.

A monk also deals more damage with his unarmed strikes than a normal person would, as shown above on Table: Monk. The unarmed damage values listed on Table: Monk is for Medium monks. A Small monk deals less damage than the amount given there with his unarmed attacks, while a Large monk deals more damage

Stunning Fist (Ex) (3/day, DC 10):At 1st level, the monk gains Stunning Fist as a bonus feat, even if he does not meet the prerequisites. The monk may attempt a stunning attack a number of times per day equal to his monk level, plus one more time per day for every four levels he has in classes other than monk.

The monk must choose which condition will apply before the attack roll is made. These effects do not stack with themselves (a creature sickened by Stunning Fist cannot become nauseated if hit by Stunning Fist again), but additional hits do increase the duration.

Flurry of Maneuvers (Ex):At 1st level, as part of a full-attack action, a maneuver master can make one additional combat maneuver, regardless of whether the maneuver normally replaces a melee attack or requires a standard action. The maneuver master uses his monk level in place of his base attack bonus to determine his CMB for the bonus maneuvers, though all combat maneuver checks suffer a –2 penalty when using a flurry.

This ability replaces flurry of blows.

Brawler's Cunning (Ex):If the brawler's Intelligence score is less than 13, it counts as 13 for the purpose of meeting the prerequisites of combat feats.

Martial Flexibility (Ex) (4/day):A brawler can take a move action to gain the benefit of a combat feat she doesn't possess. This effect lasts for 1 minute. The brawler must meet all the feat's prerequisites. She may use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + 1/2 her brawler level (minimum 1).

The brawler can use this ability again before the duration expires in order to replace the previous combat feat with another choice.
If a combat feat has a daily use limitation (such as Stunning Fist), any uses of that combat feat while using this ability count toward that feat's daily limit.

Martial Training (Ex): At 1st level, a brawler counts her total brawler levels as both fighter levels and monk levels for the purpose of qualifying for feats. She also counts as both a fighter and a monk for feats and magic items that have different effects based on whether the character has levels in those classes (such as Stunning Fist and a monk's robe). This ability does not automatically grant feats normally granted to fighters and monks based on class level, namely Stunning Fist.

Strangle (Ex):At 1st level, a strangler deals +1d6 sneak attack damage whenever she succeeds at a grapple check to damage or pin an opponent. The strangler is always considered flanking her target for the purpose of using this ability. This damage increases by +1d6 at 2nd, 8th and 15th levels.

This ability replaces unarmed strike and brawler's flurry.

Practiced Strangler (Ex):At 2nd level, when a strangler has the grappled condition, she does not take a –4 penalty to Dexterity and does not lose her Dexterity bonus to AC.

This ability replaces AC bonus.

===================================================

Background:

Thisstle was born in Varisia, outside the town of Sandpoint. When she was just an infant, some adventurers killed her parents and found her. They took her to Magnimar and gave her to a gnomish cleric of Brigh named Fitzwibble to raise. Since goblins are nearly self sufficient at birth, there was little for Fitzwibble to do except keep Thisstle out of trouble.

This was no easy task, as she quickly became sneakier than a shadow and more curious than a cat. As soon as Thisstle could walk she began sneaking out and finding yummy garbage and rats to eat. She grew quickly and soon enough she began to learn how to read and write from Fitzwibble. Around that time, Fitzwibble decided to join a team of adventurers himself. He took Thisstle with him, and along with a halfling paladin of Sarenrae named Bella, a Shoanti warrior named Balgar and dwarven monk named Revanna they headed south across Conqueror’s Bay to Cheliax.

The next couple years saw them work their way slowly eastward along the coast of House Thrune's empire, taking any contracts they could get and helping people when they could. Thisstle learned many things, amongst them how much most people hate goblins. She took to wearing a wig to try to blend in more. It doesn't work, but it made her feel better. She trained with Bella and Revanna and became a decent combatant in her own right. She also learned to curse like a drunken sailor from Revanna. Fitzwibble taught her everything he knew about gadgets and engineering, which fascinated Thisstle. Balgar didn't like her for a long time, but after she jumped on an orc and pulled its eyelids right when the brute was going to slash Balgar open, he warmed to the little goblin. Eventually the eclectic group ended up in Ostenso. Having had enough of the infernal kingdom, they booked passage to from there to Absalom.

Once they were in the City at the Center of the World, most of the group decided to become Pathfinder Society initiates. Fitzwibble also wanted to join, but Thisstle did not. By this time she was 13 years old (perfectly old enough for a goblin to fend for herself). She thanked the group for everything they'd done for her, and told Fitzwibble that he'd always be her father, but that she had bigger plans. She wanted to pursue her study of technology. They understood, and Bella gave Thisstle her old scimitar as a parting gift. After doing some research in Absalom, she found that Numeria was said to have the most advanced technical wonders in all Golarion.

She'd never really heard of the barbaric northern kingdom before, but now it had her by her most powerful drive - her curiosity. Thistle used her tiny size and exceptional skills at stealth to stow away on a ship headed up the Sellen river. It took her months of walking, and hiding in the stinking hulls of river barges, but eventually she made it to Numeria. Everyone warned her of the Technic League and their depredations, and advised her to avoid Starfall. Many mentioned Torch as a decent place to live, so Thisstle made her way there.

Once in Torch, she ended up at the Foundry. It's not often that a goblin in a wig walks into a bar, and Khonnir noticed her immediately. He inquired as to her name and reasons for coming to Torch, and found her to be surprisingly intelligent (and rude). He quickly realized she was no novice to tech, nor to fighting (after she knocked a man out for calling her wig a rug). The wizard was amused by the strange little goblin, and he decided he could make use of her. He offered her a job as his bouncer and technology apprentice. She told him to shove his job between his longshanks, she was nobody's apprentice. Khonnir laughed and showed her some of the tech pieces he had lying around. They amazed Thisstle - amazed her so much that she took the job. That was last year. Since then Thisstle has become a fixture of the Foundry, known throughout town for her nasty tongue and ability to thrash men six times her size if they step out of line.

She was away on a supply run when the torch went out and Khonnir disappeared. She's just returned to Torch to find her boss afflicted by a mental illness, and her home on the brink of disaster. Worst of all, there's a group delving the secrets of the hill, and she's not part of it! Thisstle is determined to join the group the next time they return to Torch, whatever it takes.

Description
Ht:2' 8"
Wt:30 lbs
Age:15
Hair:Bald (blonde wig)
Eyes:Beady, red
Skin: Blue (changes to match background)

Thisstle is a tiny little blueish goblin. She is hideous in almost every way, from her twisted, pinched features to her ugly blonde wig. Her beady red eyes are constantly examining her surroundings. her yellowed, pointy teeth jut from her mouth. She wears leather armor, and has a well used scimitar at her side. Thisstle moves as gracefully as any dancer, and often completely silently. If she stands next to something for long, her skin shifts in hue to match her background, like some kind of chameleon.
