Would anyone else be willing to pick up DMing duties for you until you can resume?

"Thinky still ready!"

"Thinky ready to smash all the humans."

bump

DM, just let us know if/when we're starting.

"Thinky wants to smash lots of humans."

Thinky, I have a wand of mage armor and enlarge I plan on giving you. Don't know if that will change your scroll plans.

I only have 5 scrolls of mage armor, so it wouldn't change plans much. I appreciate the generosity. It'll help the party. A lot of Large orcs running around and smashing things? :D

"Think be ready for smashing, burning, and killing. Where be the humans? When we get to start?"

1 per class level would be reasonable, assuming Thinky had time to find other witches. In trade, they'd have learned spells Thinky knows, too.

Gorbak, with a high carrying capacity and the trapper archetype, you should consider picking up some bear traps from the APG. I almost got a few myself, but am running out of room to carry them. Great for ambushes and bottleneck points.

"Gorbak, Druhg!"

"We be the best of orcs, and have power, might, and cunning. We still can use more of our kin to war on human invaders."

"And meatshields. Any think to hire grunts? They be cheap."

An afterthought. Being level 5 to start, what are the chances of having a handful of extra spells/level stored, learned via the "Familiar Teaching Familiar" way of learning new spells?

Not a big deal, either way, but versatility only helps. :)

"Thinky be tickled you choose her."

Okay, everything is finished except Thinky's turtle familiar, Not-soup. Not-soup stays safely hidden underneath Thinky's armor and clothing to keep the little guy safe from her hungry tribemates.

3. Aside from Common, what extra languages will make sense for the Orcs to speak?

Unless there is a houserule based on regional creatures, the Bestiary lists their bonus language list as: Dwarven, Giant, Gnoll, Goblin, Undercommon.

RAW, you'd have to put ranks in Linguistics for additional languages. If we get free reign of languages, I may change some of mine.

@Druhg: If we both get picked, I'd totally be willing to follow Rovagug as a layorc. Not going to be devout, as my patron comes first, but as far as deities go, Rovagug would fit my character just fine.

Okay, everything is done except equipment. I'll finish that up tomorrow evening after work.

Let me know what you think. :)

Presenting the not-quite-completed Thinky Skybones. Things are still under construction, but Thinky is smarter than the average orc, and uses her cunning intellect to nefarious ends. She slaughters enemies with range, magic, and unorthodox tactics in an attempt to soften up as many foes as possible before her fellow orcs can hack them to bits. She also serves quite well as a back-up combat healer, should the need arise.

Thinky uses her longbow and hexes primarily, relying on spells and scrolls if things get hairy. If large numbers of challenging foes are present, she'll take to the air for height superiority. If things turn really nasty, Thinky drops heavy objects and boats on her enemies.
