I'd hang my head in shame, but I'm more worried the dice roller has turned on me. In my other game, my ranger rolled a natural one to hit. And a one on damage. He then confirmed the natural one attack roll with a natural one. I'm still waiting to see how badly that ends for me!

Theodemar clutches his wooden mace, and rather than use it's magic, dodges backward. In the brief respite he gets, he steps back, and casts a spell. Chanting quickly, he weaves the arcane symbols in the air with his mace. He's casting Magic Missile.

Theodemar ducks into a shop when the arrow flys past him, not caring where he ends up. He pokes his head out, slowly, but doesn't see anyone. Once the guards give him a tentative all clear, he goes back into the shop that may saved his life by it's very location. He intends to buy something, as a thank you, though he knows not yet what that will be.

Theo heads home, and packs up all of his possessions. He has some Sovyiran currency to spend, so he wanders around looking for a magical trinket shop. He hopes to find something for his journey. I have some money left to spend, but nothing in mind. I figure he'll poke around and see if anything catches his eye. Also open to suggestions for a travel item at or under 200gp if the group has any suggestions of something that might help us.

It's a very active group. Good problem to have! Theodemar is feeling considerably better, and speaks plainly and truthfully. "My attacker nearly slew me. I was gravely wounded, and it was only the timely intervention of my dear friend Ayodhan that I even survived. Frankly I can't speak to whether my assailant was skilled or not, as I was, to my shame, far to busy running for my life." Theo's crestfallen manner makes it apparent he is being truthful, and the shame of his flight is evident upon his face.
