Update: coincidentally I received a reply to my initial email just yesterday-night. They're going to forward the right things to the right people, so for now I have new hopes. I'll keep my fingers crossed, and on my part this thread can be closed.

I know I've made posts about this already, both via email, in the CS forums, the website feedback forums and the product page, but at none of these places I received a reply. Though; except for the first time when I posted on the forums, when a Paizo employee (Joan) told me the issues with the files would be fixed 'in a couple of days'.

I guess there's different people working on the different products, but the Beginner Box (which initially had issues of similar nature) was fixed in just a couple of days. I would also completely agree with you if you were to claim that the issues were not severe enough to warrant a priority update. However, it's been three months.

I tried my best at making it so that not anyone finding the images can just use them for final use, whilst still allowing you to get a good sense of what's on them. You may have to zoom in a bit on the images.

Note, however, that (for me) there still is a bit of a problem with the PDF, which makes out-of-the-box printing a tad difficult. (But it is possible, and don't hesitate to send me a PM if I can help you with instructions.)

The "Pathfinder Advanced Player's Guide Character Sheet Pack" is listed under "new releases" on the front page. Did I miss an update, or did it get there by accident?

Update: continued in 'website feedback' sub-forums. Thread can be found here: https://paizo.com/threads/rzs43976?PF2E-Advanced-GM-screens-appear-to-be-od dly

I've also mentioned this in the CS forums, but a fellow forums member told me this sub-forum was probably a better place for such threads. Assuming that's correct, I think it best if this thread is continued here. (I'll link to this thread in the other one.)

Both the Advanced GM screens appear to be oddly formatted. I don't have an extensive list of all oddities that I was able to spot (and I don't have the files on the computer I'm currently using), but from the top of my head:

* The paper size ratios and padding appear to be incorrect and inconsistent with the 'normal' (non-advanced) GM screen
* There are duplicate 'backside' pages in one of the files in both the portrait and landscape versions
* One of the versions (either portrait or landscape) has the incorrect backside image in one of its files

There may be more; could you guys take a look at those files and update them if needed?

Aaaaaahhh thanks! I would so never have guessed that!

So... I could circumvent CS and contact the web team directly? Would you know how to go about that? (In which case I can mark my issue as resolved for the CS team, so they don't have to spend time on my issue.)

My last (unanswered) CS post was November 13th on the forums, so -assuming that they do not miss or skip forum posts- they can not yet be on November the 23rd.

So is the PDF with the entire screen formatted incorrectly? It looks like the tables are landscape, but the page is portfolio so the image is smashed horizontally to fit with large white-space strips along the top and bottom, similar to how a letterbox movie doesn't fill the screen. If this is the case, should we be expecting a corrected PDF soon?

No fix, yet. The Advcanced GM Screen also appears odd/ incorrect to me.

I've asked on the forums, where a CS member told me they forwarded the issue and that it would be resolved soon. I wanted to ask for an update in that thread, but apparently that makes me go back to the end of the line. :/

Update: all issues I mentioned regarding the Beginner Box have been resolved, so only the ones regarding the Advanced GM screen(s) remain.

Also also: in the same Beginner Box, in 'Top Sheet.pdf', it still states "Open the Hero’s Handbook to page XXX", where of course the XXX should be replaced by a page number.

I know these are rough times for everyone, but there's relatively been a lot of little mistakes that I have been able to spot in the first 10 minutes after downloading, over the previous couple of purchases I've made. This in itself is not a problem per se -everyone makes mistakes- but combined with the extreme lack of response, you are starting to come across as being rather unprofessional.

It may do you well to start to have someone else confirm each file that is uploaded for production/release, as this would reduce the number of mistakes found by customers and thus the number of this kind of posts from your customer support forums (and thus CS's workload, hopefully).

Edit: I doubt the comment '[components with labels, similar to Starfinder’s top sheet]' should still be there, on the next page in the same PDF.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Also; the blue 'written down' text on all four of the pregens of the new Beginner Box appears to be misaligned in the bottom-half of the right columns (in the 'Saving Throws', 'Defenses' and 'Weapons and Attacks' sections).

Tested on macOS using Preview and Acrobat.

Any update on these files? Would be great to be able to print them properly.

Hey there! I recently emailed CS regarding this issue, but I guess that email got lost in some digital abyss. In any case, here's (a slightly modified version of) the message I sent:

I have the feeling some things are off with the two newly released (Advanced) GM screens, though please take my post with a grain of salt. In any case; I've purchased the two GM screens (PDFs), and the file called "PZO2208 Individual Pages" is in both packages. The 'image' (of the green dragon) is the same in both versions, where I would have expected one of them to be the alternative one that is shown in "PZO2208-Advanced GM Screen-Portrait". (I think the two "PZO2208 Individual Pages" are actually exactly the same file in both packages).

Apart from the image, and again in "PZO2208 Individual Pages", the image is included four times in the PDF; once after every page. To me this feels kind of redundant, and this repetition is not the case with the (previous) 'normal' GM Screens.

Lastly, the padding of the individual pages is quite different from the landscape or portrait version of the 'normal' PF2E GM Screen: the new (advanced) version has way more padding (both in the spreads file, as well as in the individual pages file). I haven't printed it yet, but I think consistency (with the other GM Screens) is preferred here.
