I'm happy with Mike Mearls "Retro Stupid" definition. It pleases me, since this was a term used by one of my players not long ago.
He pointed out that I'm "retro" and "old-school" and all that as he teased me for once again saying something like "Drachensgrab" or "Urnst" instead of our location in the game. I'm always accidentally dropping "wandering monster" or something retro into my gaming. It's getting so I don't have to stop and explain the terms anymore, though. *grin*
And as for "stupid"? I have one, count 'em, ONE serious campaign going at any one time. The rest are full of characters named Billy Flip and Steppin' Todd, or invading the evil disco of the undead Brothers Gibb to rescue Donna, Queen Of Summer.
I've downloaded the Alpha Thing, and look forward to reading it tonight.
