Investigator can choose Alchemical Sciences as their methodology at level 1 and start learning elixir or tool formulas, 1 common alchemical elixir or tool per level. At level 4 they can choose Alchemical Discoveries class which increases the amount to 2 instead.

Do I retroactively add the additional formulas for common alchemical elixirs or tools from level 1 through 3 to my formula book?

I have always been a druid guy who absolutely wants to play druid in every possible edition as my first character. So I thought to bring up the discussion about some great items and hopefully hear about exciting ideas with them. But my rules question is as follows:

Can wild shaped druid, lets say as an example a druid taking animal form of a canine speak the one language Choker of Elocution provides while it is melded in to his body?

To make it more convenient, here's what the collar says "This platinum choker bears characters from a language’s alphabet, and it gives knowledge of that language and the associated culture’s customs. You gain a +1 item bonus to Society checks and the ability to understand, speak, and write the chosen language. Your excellent elocution reduces the DC of the flat check to perform an auditory action while deafened from 5 to 3."

And if they could speak, I don't think they could activate any melded items in their body as Polymorph school specifically states "Your gear is absorbed into you; the constant abilities of your gear still function, but you can’t activate any items.". Right?
