So my GM is running a one-shot. Third party and all sorts of silliness. A couple of house rules, feat taxes. It was pretty cool. I scribbled up an Astomoi Wizard, Shadowcaster archetype. Which was fine. GM ruled Astomoi were 13RP. Limit was 15. So he's fine with it.
When I got to my third level spells. I took my Specialization of Major Image, and the extra spell slot I had after going back to my 2nd level for another, was used on Countless eyes. We had a long outstanding argument ending in the GM ruling I could use it.. But his point had some validity.

Countless Eyes, the spell. Says you gain "Extra eyes." Which is the part that concerned the GM, and even another player (Of the six in our party, including the GM) agreed, the lack of eyes would make the spell itself unusable for my race.
The reason I selected the spell, is to break the 60 foot vision barrier on the Astomoi. Not so much game breaking as, giving my character ACTUAL vision for enemies beyond the 60 foot range limit of my normal vision.
While I am happy the spell will be usable for the campaign, I feel I should ask the community to see what they think about the particular combination.

The question boils down to this; Should the "Countless Eyes" spell function for a race like the Astomoi who have no eyes?
