I'm not sure why you would want to spend the feat slots for both.

The time savings in the process of learning a spell successfully is trivial, and the difference between having one of them and having both (assuming that they are allowed to stack) is even more trivial. The primary benefit of both of those feats is that you have drastically reduced wait time after you fail to learn the spell - in both cases the wait time is reduced to one week.

So I would recommend that if you want to take Spellbook Prodigy at level 1 that is fine. Use it until you qualify for and take Magical Shorthand, then retrain Spellbook Prodigy into a more useful class feat choice.

That's absolutely fair

Hello everybody,

As the title suggest, I'm playing a wizard in Pathfinder 2e and I came across the two feats above mentioned: Magical Shorthand and Spellbook Prodigy. My question would be: Do they stack?

The first state: "Learning spells comes easily to you. If you’re an expert in a tradition’s associated skill, you take 10 minutes per spell level to learn a spell of that tradition, rather than 1 hour per spell level. [...] If you’re a master in the tradition’s associated skill, learning a spell takes 5 minutes per spell level, and if you’re legendary, it takes 1 minute per spell level." while the second state: "You are particularly adept at learning spells to add to your spellbook. You can Learn a Spell in half the time it normally takes."

Does that mean that if i pick both feats and I'm at "Expert", I can learn a spell in 5 minutes per spell level an so on (Master = 2 minutes and a half, Legendary = 30 seconds)?
