If your still looking for players I would be interested in joining.
Ok, So i've wanted to play a Wishcrafter sorcerer. BUT I don't have the boon to play the race, what I do have is a Kitsune boon. I decided to try and play that, so I started with the race, then went what would I like to play? Enchanter Sorcerer since they are more apt to that school of magic. After combing books and the internet for a solid build I winged it and came up with this. Level: 1
STR:6
HP:7
Fort: 1
Skills-- Bluff +9 Intimidate +9 Spellcraft +6 Use Magic Device +9 Feats: Eschew Materials, Spell Focus (Enchantment) Traits: Qadira (Eastern Mysteries<1/adventure increase the DC of a spell by +2>) Social (Charming <+1 Bluff, +1 DC of a speech dependent spell so long as you are attractive to the person>) Bloodline Arcana: Fey: +2 DC for compulsion spells. Serpentine: Can use Mind affecting spells on animals, magical beasts, and monstrous humanoids. Spells 0-Detect Magic, Read Magic, Resistance, Prestidigitation 1-Magic Missile, Sleep I'm looking to be a CHA heavy character talking, charming, bluffing, etc. but still contribute to combat, which is why I'm trying to milk out as much bonus DC increase as possible. My past characters have been a bit death dealer focused with a pirate gunslinger (not the archtype), A Grim Reaper cleric, and a barbarian. So I'm trying to break the mold with this one. Comments and feedback would be appreciated, also I'm still "fleshing" him out backstory wise, but from a mechanic wiselooking for a little help. Also haven't purchased anything yet, and he's only 1st level so keep that in mind.
I so want an Ifrit boon, ever since my Undead Lord is no longer playable and had to convert it to something else, i've been looking for something new to roleplay. Then i came along the Wishcrafter, but sadly I don't have the boon or even the oppurtunity to get one. I have no boons too trade, but this march is a convention in iowa so i MIGHT get one there, though i'm not sure what types of boons will be provided. Guess this post comes down to hat off head, tin cup in hand "Please sir, may I have a boon sir?" lol joking aside, where could i find one of these mythical Ifrit boons?
I was wondering if there was going to be a PFS boon for this Halloween? I would love to give a little extra to my players. Since this will be the first year I will not be attending my haunted house/candy run/ celebration who-ha of events, I thought I would get in a nice game of PFS and make it a good horror theme dress up and play. (I've got to get in my costuming some time in the year lol) I thought if there was a Boon for the holiday, I would hand them out to people that showed up in costume. (some of them would have a boon printed, but it's special for those that don't check the sight and do dress up)
OOhh i have no doubts that if i do it it could be done to me, in fact some of my characters would dread to hear a call to sunder. but the barbarian likes to use it on BBG or a flourish to intimidate the lesser mooks "I just destroyed your shield, weapon, and armor. Take a knee or I break you too!" Yea ever since that incident where he told me i would be effecting end gold, i haven't played him because of of it.
In PFS i have a barbarian that likes to sunder the enemies weapons and armor. When i first made this character i was told that the gear i destroyed didn't effect the end result of gold for the party. Then i went to a convention game and was doing my thing and the DM piped up saying that the groups max gold at the end would be affected, and having the no jerks ruling loudly whispered between the other players i opted out of breaking stuff. I have a smasher barbarian, and at this point i'm questioning if i should use him again, have the option to rebuild from faulty information, or run him as intended.
Blood Under Absalom The Theater Four man party, me as an Undeadlord (before the nerf) So i dress up my undead companion along with the rest of our group to make us a five man troupe. Given clubs and told not to do lethal damage to our opponents as they can't do any to us. We get on stage and I send "Nigeal" to the other side. With a decent disguise check and them failing their perception checks, they think he's a normal person and begin wailing on him. Yea me an another member of the team play to the crowd while the other members make short work of the opposing troupe. That same game, we climb down into the graveyard to face the monk that will let us into the final area. Our GM has an elaborate set up, the board is made of sty. with much detail, has had made mini of the gong we are to ring, a custom monk. I mean A+ on the visuals here. Combat begins, I win Init. and have my "Nigeal" go first. He charges and crits. I then confirm the crit. with another 20. My companion is wielding a scythe, I roll damage, max damage. This is at a Con so their are still some people getting read the description of the room and then the hear the move on signal.
Well this sucks, i'm not very long into my character. He's only level 3, one adventure away from 4th, but why in all the multiverse do i have to scrap my undead lord? Now some of you might think hey 3rd going on fourth no big deal right? Wrong, I've had this character over a year in a half of making, owing to the lack of PFS game play in my neck of the woods. I have backstory, plans, goals, and artwork for this character. I even been chronicling his battles and trails in a "journal" my own little story of this character. Well i've just put and end to his story now, scrapped him because now i can't see playing a watered down version of a cleric or wizard. just can't. I've made a handful of PFS characters, and an army of what ifs, and this is the only one I've had such a prime interest in seeing where his story takes him. Well his story ends here with a ***** slap from god saying bad boy, and as for me. I can't see investing my time, emotion, energy, and money in another character that will probably get a axe in it sooner rather than later. Here's me fading into the dark once more. |
