Grand Lodge 1/5

Con of the North is the biggest local convention I have the honor of attending, and it's events like the Pathfinder Society games that bring me in every year. Even though it was also on Valentines Day! Every year this Con gets noticeably bigger! Thanks all who helped run it!

Congratulations Jon! We're also glad your 5th star came with no deaths, though Andy tried his hardest to make that happen after the final boss went down!

I'd much rather play the way the writer intended. My wife is considering this type of character for Pathfinder Society play, which is why we had to figure something "official". Although, with the delayed ability to Wild Shape, (and her only PFS character has only just hit third level), wild shape seems like its too far away.

It sounds like you would need to start your movement from cover, or around a corner. (Which satisfies the stealth rule.) You would also need to make it to the closest enemy in one move. If your movement ends short of an attack, they can see or hear you unless you can justify some other cover or concealment present. Low light conditions would probably suffice, unless they have low light vision.

Although, depending on how close you were when you took your roundabout route, some GMs could say that you would have needed to roll stealth the whole time so they couldn't hear you in the next alley as you ran by. That one is more of a GMs call.

if I'm reading the rules right, does a totem druid's wild shape not kick in until 6th level, instead of 4th for a regular druid? Is that the trade-off for the earlier class aspect they get at level 2?

(Wild shape for a totemic druid states at 6th level they can wild shape at -2 druid level, unless they wild shape to their totem, and get a bonus of +2 level.)
