About Tessandriel Mithlynnta

Background:
Tessandriel's hair moved in the cold night breeze as she stalked the deer. As she crept closer, it suddenly raised its head and started looking around, sniffing the air as if it was looking for something. "I'm downwind of it so it can't have detected me. What do you smell, hmm?" Waiting, she eventually spotted a puma slinking through the undergrowth towards her deer.

"Oh no you don't. I tracked this deer for a day already. I am NOT losing it to you."

The deer finally returned to grazing and the the puma began to move again. Soon it would pounce and she would lose the kill. She needed this buck as she was running out of food. Without it she would certainly starve.

She waited till it had leapt in for the kill and then made her move. The puma had just killed the deer when she let loose with an arrow, killing it. It dropped next to the deer.

Walking over she surveyed her handiwork. "This will feed me for long while and keep me from having to beg from those idiots in the village." Every time she went in to trade she was looked down on because of her race. Life was never dull.

She sighed and began to dress the animals. It was going to be a long winter.

Tessandriel lived in a forest village west of Restov on the southern border of Brevoy, in the shadow of wilderness known as the Stolen Lands. Mama came from the Dog's Teeth in a city called Cassomir. Apparently she had been involved with a drow who was exiled for reasons he didn't share and mama didn't ask. They decided to make a better life somewhere else and eventually made their way to the country of Brevoy.

Finding a small village they stopped there and made their home and Tessandriel was born to them not too long afterwards. Mama and Papa were not used to the harsh winters there and struggled with the cold. This complicated matters when they came down with a sickness. They had managed to pull through each winter but when the sickness came, it was too much. She was 20 when Mama and Papa went on to the next life. For the first time in her life, Tess was alone. Her home was a short distance away from the village as her parents wanted to be away from the prejudice from others.

Tessandriel was always at home in the forest. Even the cold didn't seem to bother her as much as it did her parents. Tess spent most of her time outdoors in the woods, learning and playing. She loved being out during the night time as the day was too bright for her tastes.

When her parents had passed she continued to hone her skills. During this time she was able to explore the lands to the south (the River Kingdoms) in addition to the forest where she lived.

In the early spring of Calistril a small caravan passed through the village near her home. Upon investigating she learned of an expedition that would be heading south to the Stolen Lands. Her love of exploration won out. She had to see what was out there. The world was waiting for her.

Description:
Tessandriel is 26. She is half-elven, has the dark skin of a Drow and stands at 5'4" and carries a longbow, a rapier, and a dagger. She always wears a hooded cloak during the day as it shields her eyes. Even a casual observer can see that she is dressed for cold weather. Her hair is pure white and her eyes are the same color. She usually keeps her hair tied back to keep it out of the way. She rides Cochise, a horse she traded for a year ago. He is 2 years old.
