Background:
Terry was the 3rd son of a large family in Tolkien. Not seeing any chance of getting a worthwhile inheritance, he decided to join the standing army.
While he was employed with the army, he ended up using an undiscovered ability to help one of his comrades in arms. This was observed by a cyberknight whom had joined the fray.
The cyberknight was able to direct him to the training ground in Tolkien.
During the Siege, he was one of the knights whom stood aside when the CS states attacked.
Seeing the end coming, he went and liquidated as much wealth as he could get from his family, and managed to escape.
After a couple of months he was able to bring some refugees to Castle Refuge.
He then rejoined the order there to continue his training, and work with the Tomorrow Legion

Background Soldier - Professional soldiers get used to carrying heavy loads, and enduring harsh conditions.
After a few days getting used to their gear (GM’s call), they treat their Strength as one die type higher when determining Encumbrance
(page 67) and Minimum Strength to use armor, weapons, and equipment without a penalty (page 66). (This stacks with the Brawny Edge.)
They also get a free reroll on Vigor rolls made to survive environmental hazards (see Hazards, page 125).
