Okay, NVM. I ended up getting inspired so I made a Conjurer Wizard based on my Druid concept.

Awesome! Cheers GM. Also I've realised that I need to switch characters for the next one, because I need to keep a lv3 for local play. My lv5 monk I want to keep for the second star-crossed game.

I'll be playing a Druid, probably a Storm Druid, definitely a druid of some sort.

Not sure if you lot have played with GHembree prior to me. I haven't played Lost on the Spirit road.

I gave my full list of what I could play, so hopefully as they get whittled down from the other players we can make it happen. Worst case I'll skip one and just follow and and comment, or play for 0 credit.

For discussion on what to play next, I'm happy to go along with the group. I am likely to switch characters, because I'm starting to get quite a high coverage of PFS scenarios.

So, final decision is: Bind devil to throne, Leave Thrune in wayfinder. In that order, in case binding does something more. Teneb will then request that the vigilant seal find a way to transport the throne to a protected area instead of leaving a devil bound in the wilderness for wayward teens to find.

Does anyone have divine lance or other MURDA-A-Devil options? I'm a tad worried now that I'm up in its face and already taken 25% of my HP :(

I'm going to need to keep lay on hands for myself to keep things flowing.

Also I can reduce damage on allies, but will need to keep shield up to keep my own safety going.

Teneb draws his Staff and charges

It's been a crazy day for me folks, I'll post up tomorrow in about 9 hours, but remedy is going to say a similar one liner to Mirtha and engage. This is a devil to a champion after all

Mechanically Conso, Raznik or Teneb are all good choices If Raznik is flurry then he'll probably hit lower AC enemies most often. Teneb will obv ask for it becauase the only reason he doesn't have an enchnated weapon already is that he can't afford one. He wants to prove competency with a blessing fromt he gods.

In contrast to Mirtha, Teneb reaches out to the aether for aid. By the power you leave in me, I shall use it to create life. May your influence be omnipresent Nethys.

Teneb can cast lay on hands for 6HP every 10 minutes + 6 seconds

That means I can heal the whole party in 50 minutes, including a final refocus to get my FP back.

2x on Bitey, 1x on myself, 1x on Raznik.

Confident with his work, he turns to Mirtha "It is grand that Nethys blesses us this day with nature's healing." Teneb is of course referring to magical healing.

"We're pretty badly hurt here. These kobolds almost killed Raznik's bird and I may have died myself if it wasn't for Mignxia's intervention. I have a little healing magic but perhaps it would be best for us to secure this area and rest for tonight. At the very least I insist we rest for a couple of hours. This devil has been waiting for decades, he can wait a little bit longer."

Picking up discarded weapons, and checking them for dents or bluntness, Teneb is idly participating in the conversation "I shall not rest until this devil is removed from the inner sea. Who knows what influence he is having on the mortal realm."

Once he has returned to the group, and realising the (probable) shock at the disregard for Mirtha's request, his tone changes "Actually... I'm sorry. I must remember that there are those who feel empty inside once their power is depleted. Nethys fills me up with his power with even a short prayer, but I would not want to live with that hole in the pit of my stomach for more than an hour. We shall take rest downstairs if you need."

Teneb can keep watch for some of it, he isn't a great watch because he gets distracted a lot, much more so than you'd think a cloistered warrior monk to be, but he doesn't need to tend to wounds, and can lay on hands himself anyway.

Teneb has been losing energy throughout this fight. He's a dancer, an acrobat, and a cloistered warrior. He's not a tactician or battlefield veteran.

As such, his emotions have overcome him, and he's only trying to do the things which come immediately to mind.

Recruitment is more or less closed.

In a few days, I'll open up recruitment for another 1-10 game, but with the exact opposite priority - I'd like some experienced players to join me in an experiment to see if we can play a faster pace than standard (1.5 posts/day) and still have fun.

I should be good to play 1-10 if you're looking for players.

Conso, compelled by Mirtha, attempts to climb over the barricade.

If she's still under, I will spend my turn getting her free, but if she is already free let me know and I'll do other things with my turn.

I will keep my action, it's a garbage roll, but I wouldn't have known that before choosing to attack. Teneb was looking to heal Mirtha to pay back the help she has given, but Minxia already on that!

thanks GM for keeping this pace up with everything going on. It's being a chaotic time for some, and I can see it in some of the pbp's I'm reading.

You've maintained a very solid pace and style, which is more than I can attest to, I think I missed a day this week.

Mirtha wasn't opposed to reading the letter, just with breaking the seal. It'd be kind of unlawful to unseal a letter not addressed to you.

"Our ghostly friend Diggen is neither of the people mentioned in this letter here. What if he's the individual in the letter they made the pact with and we're helping him seal their fate? Let's proceed but be cautious before we do what Diggen Thrune asked us to do."

"Perhaps I misread, but the sender isn't clear. It could be Diggen, this place is called Diggen's rest after all. In any case, I want to see what is upstairs. It's only a matter of time before the other Kobolds get curious about what's happened to their peers.

In fact, this devil may be able to roam and we will want to encounter it on our terms than its."

Teneb goes up the stairs, hoping to trigger a GM update ;)

Shocked, and a little confused, Teneb queries Raznik further "You're.. not afraid of the document? Hrm. In any case, what do you mean we can live here. Is this a deed of some sort?"

Teneb will read the document.

Assuming that there isn't anything groundbreaking, I vote that the GM describes the next room and we can fill in conversation as it goes

"are you sure he can't hear right now? In either case, I'm not sure I can let either of them run free. My teachings say to bring people from wayward paths, but an ethereal devil binder? I'm not sure even Nethys would forgive that."

Teneb wants to go up the stairs repeating the spell shield.

Hope not! This guy seems dodgy to me!

"Well then, shall we drop down and explore further?" Teneb muses

Now that Teneb understands he can't leave the room, he's keen to "explore further" and get some time to discuss a plan with the group outside of Diggen's earshot. Also Barbazu! That will be a tough fight I think. I haven't seen them in 2E but aren't they CR7 or CR8? Hopefully weak template or something!

Normally he'd be able to hide his true feelings, but the tenseness in his muscles is more clear as Teneb floats near the ceiling of the library.

Flanked by books, Teneb engages with the ghost. "I will be the first to tell you that deals with devils don't pan out, and regardless of the terms, engaging with such evil will surely get you in more trouble than is worth.

Are you stuck in this room, or can you go all around the tower? Did you watch us come in?"

Teneb was ready for magic, not for a ghost.

Shocked, he will turn and respond: "I... Was not expecting you. I don't have tea, but will you hurt me if I don't? Where did you come from. You must have watched us fumbling around down the bottom.

We're hunting for an old group of pathfinders. You wouldn't happen to know anything would you?"

Originally I thought Teneb would watch and guard because mechanically I don't think he offers more than Minxia and Mirtha with the pillars ... BUT I remembered his worship to Nethys is to choose magical means over mundane. Utilising magic to experience new things is certainly on brand for him.

For a few minutes he's been eyeing up Mirtha's deftness in comprehending the runes, and then utilising them to float. Teneb has a thousand eye stare as he's enveloped by thoughts. What are you doing? He is watching. ALWAYS. First you receive heretical healing, and now ignore arcane power right before you.

Stepping up to a pillar, he states "Enlightenment! ... Enlightenment!" As he floats, you hear him exclaim the key word again.

Teneb is repeatedly casting it to go fast and raise himself up. Perhaps out of some immature jealousy of Mirtha's competency, perhaps his own gusto. Hard to tell.

I'll keep going up as long as it works

Teneb turns to the small pair, and offers his help. If Bitey knocks them down, I'll be ready to catch the books. I am no librarian, but I hope that someone in our midst can tell us what they were for. There may be important records for the society here.

Needless to say, I hope everyone is keeping safe.

I keep checking the thread hoping for a distraction, but I understand others have things to sort out locally in their own communities.

Hearing Mirtha has expended her connection to Sarenrae for the good of the group, he approaches again sheepishly.

"Mirtha, I am... sorry. I overreacted through stubbornness when you have done nothing but help us. I don't want to assume you'll help, but if you need to use your healing kit, I will not complain."

I'll let Mirtha react, but I haven't spent an hour without being healed, so will have to do it myself
