See I was under the impression that all mobs are rated by challenge rating, including NPCs. So the spell can only affect 4 levels worth of enemies. 1x level 1 character and 1x level 4 character I would only be able to affect the level 1 character? ![]()

So... Original Spell Texted... Sleep
Corrected Spell Texted... Sleep
Ok and let me see if I got this right... Sleep is the name of the spell. Range is how far I can send and activate my spell. Duration is 1 minute/per wizard level. Once activated it can affect all targets ( living ) in a 10 foot radius of activation location. Here is where I run into problems... "It can only affect targets that are living up to 4 character levels or CR3." I know what CR 3 means. Challenge Rating 3. What does it mean when it says 4 character levels? Does that mean other players? Assuming everything else meets the prerequisites of the spell, they make a DC 11 + my INT if I was the Wizard playing and casting the spell. If they pass the check they resist my spell if not they are put to sleep for the duration. I think I got everything except what I didn't understand. ![]()

I was wondering if you could clear up one final thing for me... The final correction for the player's Handbook. PG 29 of the Hero's Handbook. Wizard, 1st level spells, Sleep. The correction says... "Turn to page 29. If the wizard's sleep spell says "Hit Dice,"change "Hit Dice" to "character levels or CR3." The Wizards spell reads... " Living creatures in a 10-foot radius fall asleep. The spell can affect up to 4 Hit Dice, starting with the lowest Hit Dice and ignoring unconscious, mindless, or construct creatures. Creatures can make a Will save (DC 11 + your INT Mod) to resist. Waking a sleeping creature is a standard action. Noise isn't enough to wake them." So what am I correcting? There are two entries that read Hit Dice and swapping them for what the corrections state just doesn't sound right. ![]()

Thank you for that info by the way. I found the section for corrections on the last page. So happy :D! ![]()

So I was just wondering where is the errata for the Beginner Box? Normally companies like Fantasy Flight have a dedicated link to a downloadable document explaining when, why, and how changes where made to the original publishing. So far all I've found is a bunch of posts made by random people and not anything official. Where is the official errata found on this website? Where is the downloadable document with all the corrections? I have one of the original boxes so I know there are errors. |
