Reporting for Duty, ma'am. Teal salutes crisply.
"So, who's for getting riotously drunk and partying until next mission." Teal asks, a half smile on her lips.
I've suddenly got images of you ballooning up like a teletubby to maximise screen size on your tummy
"We need to remember to take the cultist's gear with us, crossbows aren't exactly high tech, but a couple of thousand years advanced on anything I've seen the locals use"
Teal moves back to the cave entrance, and keeps watch while the others investigate the priests, it would be nice to get some warning next time strangers decide to drop in.
Teal lunges in and swings her staff down at the final fighting cultist.
smallsword(12): 3d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 2) = 11
dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Cursing, Teal strikes at Cultist 2.
smallsword(12): 3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 2) = 9
dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
I presume we're within 2yards of the cultists, since we were following Gavin?
Teal lunges with one of her staves, trying to smash the crossbow to the side.
Strike at the Crossbow, unless I have to move and strike rather than step and strike, in which case I'll just try and hit him
Smallsword(12-4): 3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 6) = 17 Meh, can't do much with that roll
Teal sighs and stows her gun, drawing her Escrima sticks and following the others.
"There's only three of them, I'm sure they'll be no problem to take out - do we need to take one of them alive?"
Teal follows the bear after the cultists, periodically checking for tracks on her own.
Tracking-9: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1) = 6
"So what do we know of these priests, where I come from the only point of religion is to pretend you have some authority, when really your just a nutcase in a fancy collar"
Teal walks with her rifle slung over her back, since they're not dressing native, having another weird artifact on her person isn't going to draw more attention.
[b]"Well the storm doesn't seem to be coming back, I'd suggest we get out there and start scouting out the area. Do we need to dress local?"[/i]
Teal does not relish the idea of stripping down to tribal wear and then trying to cover all her exposed skin in make-up... maybe she could pass it off as warpaint?
"Didn't your magic test prove negative? Is this a magic breaking through from elsewhere, or remnants of something fading from the world?" the last part is more musing than an actual question.
"It seems we may have angered the local gods." shouts Teal over the noise, with a grin. "Is that some sort of machine?"
Teal itches to draw her gun and fire a few shots at the cloud formation, but thinks better of it.
Teal holds her tongue, letting the boffins in the group determine a response.
She looks over the scars of the apparent leader, trying to guess where they come from
Do they look like battle wounds, or caused by animals, or something else?
Teal drops into a crouch and scans the direction of the sound for movement.
Perception(10): 3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 3) = 15 bah
I'd not trust the lives of my team to it, but I can climb reasonably
climb skill at 11, sorry for short post, on phone
Catching the end of the briefing Teal appears in time to hear D'Montefort refered to as team captain and gives him a quick salute.
"I am ready for your orders sir, please accept my apology for being late." The tall muscular woman seems embarrassed.
Gaah, missed that this had started up. Let me catch up!
Am I okay to jump into the IC thread?
Added some gear, switched loyalty to Patrol, rather than ISWAT. I've run the numbers through the GCA and it's not raised any issues.
Reshuffled, should be in the right spec now, and added some background.
I do have the character gen, just not on this machine, I'll run it through it later and see if I've made any glaring errors.
Also realised I need gear. I've assumed my homeworld is just pushing TL9, but pretty much all field-tech is TL8 rather than relying on newer technologies.
Further note: I'm on British time (Currently GMT+1), if it matters.
Went and created a profile, included statistics are still in "first-draft", while I tinker with specifics.
If anyone wants to poke holes or give suggestions, feel free. Like I said, it's been a good few years since I've actually played GURPS.
