Hi there, Good evening:
I am directing Way of the wicked, and i am about to start the second book, the Horn of Abbadon. My questión here is. Once they have secured the Horn of abbadon, but before they start the ritual, while they prepare the dungeon, my players may like to summon something, but not necesarily a devil. Hell hounds, hell cats, and this short of things could come.
My idea is to let them do, the only thing is how could they summon this kind of things. Would they be conjured with an spell like Lesser Planar Binding or things like that? Summons monster is not very apropiate if you want to have a monster wandering in the dungeon protecting something or somewhere.
Somehthing else, for the people that has directed this adventure, i thought about side questing a little bit in Caer Bryr, to let tham have chances of getting some mounstrous npcs as minions or cohorts, just in case they want to have them. Do you think it is apropiate? I think there should not be any problem do you?
Thank you a lot for the answers.
Hi there:
Probably this topic has been talked, but I was unable to find that topic, so I say it, hoping it is not said yet.
I have never understood why paladins have to be lawful good, I see them as champions of the god. All that said, I think that being lawful is a prerequisite, and if your paladin was going to be chaotic good, for example, I would suggest a rework from the antipaladin.
The thing is that I am playing a game with evil characters, plotting as Asmodeus followers, at least some of them, and they wanna play a champion of the god. I thought about it, and in my brain at least. I could perfectly see Asmodeus having L/E Paladins, the thing is that i have not found the way to rework the paladin to play it properly. I could rework it my way, but I would prefer something that has been tried and "tested".
Thak you for your answers in advance.
I hope you could understand me, I trie to write properly in English.
Good morning:
I am directing a game with a swashbuckler and i have many doubts. Does the swashbuckler´s precise damage works as the rogue´s or other precise damages? Does it need flanking? or being denied dexterity? It is not said in the class, but I don´t really know if there is a need or not. Moreover the swashbuckler has many other deeds that allow him to do different things, but a lot of them also state that if the target is immune to precise damage is also immune to these deeds. All this deeds could be done without flanking? And can this deeds be made if the enemy has concealment? As I know concealment makes the rogue unable to sneak attack, am i right?.
Many thanks and I hope you can understand my English.
Goodmorning everyone:
I was directing a game and when i saw a monster with DR and realized that rogue without sneak attack wasn't able to bypas the DR,so I thougt should Ilet him sneak attack?
In raw i haven't found anything taking about a need for the rogue to bypass the DR to sneak attack, but in my mind it is something obvious. So the question is, is anywhere the things explained? Does that rule exist? Does any GM use any similar rule/house rule in his games? Does it seem very restrictive for the rogue in combat?
And another thing, can the rogue sneak attack everythig in the world except constructs, elementals and some few monster more? Or is there any criteria to say ypu can sneak attack thia or that or something? I mean a devil for another plane with a very strange form, or i don't know, something very uncommon, or not known by the rogue?
Thank you a lot in advance.

Good afternoon:
I am mastering a game in wich I have a cleric and a wizard and both want to take a prestige class and/or multiclass. The wizard want to mix wizard and rogue levels, to go into the prestigue class of rogue wizard I dont remember the english name, the one in wich you can use steal maneuver at 30 feet. The cleric want to change to the prestige class available to clerics and paladin, the sacred vindicator i think it's the name.
My question is if you follow gaining in any of both pretige classes levels of any existing spellcasting class in wich you have levels, would you follow winning the benefits of the domains of the cleric or the benefits of being specialized in an arcane schoool of spells or you would stop winning those bonus??
Thank you for your answers, sorry for my english that is not good to explain myself.

First of all, i have a rogue in the game I am directing and he told me that he was using his hat of disguise to disguise himself. The problem was that he thought disguise of the hat would be for the time he wants, i thought it just would be for the duratión of the spell. He was trying to do it with the disguise hat. So my question is, would the hat allow you to be disguised for all the time you want? and the disguise spell, i am talking about tthe case you use it with the disguise skill to obtain a bonus. Do you lose the bonus after the speel expired?
Another question a cleric in my game told me he was going to craft a magic weapon, i let my players upgrade their weapons and armors, so they pay just the diference between the new price and the last price, he told me he would like to become his +1 batleaxe into a +1 Sacred Battleaxe. My players level is 7. In rules it is said that the higher level required is the level you must be, to be able to craft it. He is able to craft a Sacred weapon, but a +3 enhanced weapon requires a level 9, so is he able to craft it or not? He told me that he understood that level 9 is required to make a +3 Battleaxe and not to make a +1 Sacred Battleaxe.
Thank you very much, I expect you are able to understand me, my English is not as good as I would like.
Goodmorning all,
Some days ago I started a campaign, in wich, my players were dark elf nobles. And while we were playing, some creatures make themselves invisible. Here came the problem, noble Drows have constant detect agic. How does detect magic work? Do you see even the form of the invisible creature, and does it work for other ilusion spells?, does it also work on alter self, or polimorf, or what else kind of spell, that tries to bluff or confuse or make urself invisible?
Being a 0-level spell, I personally thought that it couldn´t neutralize other higher level spells, moreover being these spells purposes to pass without being seen, but I wasn´t sure at all how to manage it, so I am asking here for an answer of how i should manage it, or what does really detect magic detect.
Thank you very much, have a nice day.
Sorry for my English, It is not very good, but I try to make myself understood.
To begin with i would like to ask, if a monk can wear some gauntlets, to make them magical and to enhance the gauntlets with fire damage, or any other magic property?
The feat elemental fist, is it available for monks without the need of the prerequisites? i think it is not. But if this feat is like i think, how does the feat efrety style work on moks? As this feat ask fora monk to be 5th lvl to be able to take, but a monk can´t have elemental fist until it has level 11, hust for the base attack bonus it requires.
And does armor training of the level 3 fighter reduce the armor from medium to light armor?, or does it only take out the penalty of movement, and allos the user to had a +1 dex and reduces the armor penalties on 1??
Sorry my bad English I hope you can understand me.
If a monster, such as, a vampire, attacks a PC, and hits with his natural attack, does it automaticaly add to the character the negative levels stated on the monster? or the Pc has a save at the moment he is hitted?.
I have read the rules on the bestiary and as i could undertsand, there is no saving throw for the negative levels, until 24 hours have passed. And the save is just to know if the negative levels become permanent or the just dissapear. Am i right? Or a save against negative levels should be done by a PC at the moment the Pc is hitted and then another one, once 24 hours have passed?
Thank you very much, I hope you can understand my English.
I just want to question if it is said that a monster, like lycantropes have DR/silver and vampires have DR/Silver and magic.
Which DR is better, does it mean that you can bypass both with a silver/mithral weapon, or to bypass vampires DR u need a magical silver/mithral weapon??
My players said that only a silver weapon is needed. But i have been checking and the more CR, more common is to have DR/x and y.
It could be the same with DR/adamantine and DR/andamantine and magic
Thank you very much. I expect i have explained myself.
