Over the years, our gaming group has used a number of different visual aids for our tabletop gaming. From simple graph paper, to miniatures atop gridline paper, to wet-erase battle mats, to magnetic boards with gridlines, we have experimented with many different methods. I am interested to know the method of choice with other gaming groups. What do you guys use? Any suggestions for evolving our visual aids?

Ok, thanks. What happens when the priestess also casts Expeditious Retreat (a domain spell for her). Does that stack as well?

Do all of these movement bonuses stack?

Barbarian (Fast Movement) = Base move of 40'
Add Celerity Domain = Base move of 50'
Add Boots = Base move of 60'

OK guys, the rule on this may be right under my nose, but I cannot seem to find it. We just started a new coastal campaign, and I decided to kick it off with one of my all-time faves, Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh. The party rogue managed to traverse the missing staircase treads leading to the attic, and eventually disturbed the stirges that were nesting there. The stirges scored a couple of hits, and I was reveling in the groans that were emanating from the other side of the DM screen. Where we got sidetracked, though, was when the 2nd character made his way into the attic to attack the stirges. Since stirges are tiny creatures, 2 of them were in the rogues space. What is the rule for attacking a foe that occupies the same space as a friend? Is there a penalty? Any chance of hitting the friend? Thanks!!!

I am new to Pathfinder and would like to conduct a mass combat. Does Pathfinder have a good system for resolving large scale, mass combats? If not, are there any other 3.5 resources out there? I read the Miniatures Handbook and was not impressed...
