Anything in particular anyone wants to be doing in the city when we start? Mayve and T'zay will be visiting the wizards at the academy. I can put you all in the inn if you don't have anything specific you want to be doing.

The Inn sounds good to me. Per his story, Rhane just came from a long, grueling adventure and is looking forward to a couple of days of rest and relaxation in the city before he continues his journey to report in to his Order.

@DM aLittleTooQuiet: Aye, he will be. Did you get a chance to review the profile that I updated and/or have any questions? I want to make sure that everything is square before we get into the action.

@Sevram: I am definitely willing to coordinate on our teamwork feats so that we don't overlap too much. For my combat style, I will most likely be mounted whenever possible. When not possible, I will be wading into combat with Longsword and Shield.

I'll be working some more on Rhane's background as well as selecting my feats and all as much as I can this weekend. Sadly, I am a retail supervisor, so I'll be working every day until Monday.

My friends call me Potter, so you can either call me that or my message board handle (Thal`aen), or you can call me Rhane. Pretty much, I will answer to anything that I can identify as being directed towards me. ;)

For Rhane's style in combat, he fights with honor and fierce determination. That's not to say that he doesn't like to stack the odds in his favor (tactically speaking), or that he doesn't know when to run (er, "tactically withdraw"). It just means that he will offer quarter to a defeated opponent rather than dealing the killing blow outright, and that if he withdraws that it's only temporarily until his cunning intellect can devise a fool-proof assault.

Out of combat, Rhane still holds honor dear to his heart. Although he can bluff his way in if the situation calls for it, he will chafe under the subterfuge and long for something more direct and earnest. He prefers to settle his disputes with reason and intellect, and is very slow to provoke to violence for his own sake. However, if someone threatens the things that he holds more dear than even himself, may The Gods (if you believe in that sort of thing) have mercy upon them.

For your consideration, I submit Rhane Far-Reach.

3d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 3) = 10 14
3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 4) = 12 16
3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 5) = 7 12
3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 4) = 8 12
3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 6) = 13 16
3d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 6) = 9 14

Rhane is a Human Cavalier, pledged to the Order of the Tome. He takes it as his personal mission to seek out and reclaim the knowledge that has been lost since the fall of the empire - purportedly for the benefit of all of mankind. However, his true quest is that he caught wind of some terrible secret that the former Empire held, which would disillusion all of those who clung to the ideals of the Empire.

In fact, if such knowledge came to light it could prove to be so damning that the very IDEA of a Human empire being formed would cause many of the other races to rally together and... but I digress. No-one knows for certain the truth of the matter; at the current time, it is nothing but a foul rumor. However, for Rhane, it has become his life's work to find out what really happened - and, if need be, to bury it forever.

@DM aLittleTooQuiet: Well, crap - I didn't realize until now that what I thought was an enchanter was infact a two-weapon fighter. My bad.. is it too late for me to roll a different concept up for you?

Greetings,

For your review, I submit to you Mah`lyn.

A half-elf, Mah`lyn was raised by her Elven mother in the Lem`tare clan. She is an accomplished swordswoman known for being well-versed in the art of engaging and destroying enemy spellcasters in hand-to-hand combat without allowing them the opportunity to bring their magic to bear (Two-Weapon Fighter concept based around the feats "Step Up" and "Disruptive").

As a sell-sword, she has made a name for herself - not only for her skill, but also for her loyalty and dedication to whatever cause she allies herself with. Although she is quite the mercenary, rumor has it that she has taken a few jobs for no fee when true wrongs needed righting; Mah`lyn, however, denies this vehemently if questioned and maintains the image of a cold, professional blade-for-hire.

(Whether or not I am chosen for this campaign, I would like you to contact me at your leisure (thalaen@gmail.com) regarding a question I had about an exotic mount for this character, and how you as a GM would rule on it. I can't find anything in the rules relating to it, so I'd like to pick someone's brain who has had more experience than I with this system. For background purposes, I've been a 3.5 player/GM for several years, and am looking for an opportunity to try out the PFRPG rules before attempting to incorporate them into my tabletop gaming group.)
