First post, also 24thed! I'm all about this.
...perhaps list whoever you choose to honor as creators of Absalom Station, but as anagrams. Perhaps Ilen Strongarm. In this instance, Nehln Jong. Or something along those lines.
With all due deference to John Glenn, why not Neil Armstrong, the crews of Apollo1, Soyuz 1, Voskhod 1, Challenger, and Coumbia, while we're at it?
Both of these ideas are great and I think we could combine them. Weave the honors into the story by using anagrams as the names of pioneers and explorers in the canon history of Starfinder. Also just state their names outright in an acknowledgements section next to where they often list inspirational reading and whatnot.
