will be submitting but the back story is in this alias.

disregard the character stats as this is level 16. so obviously will have to adjust.

the character has a basic back story, but there is a link to more fun story style history.

Talon cautiously sits up, glancing about a is new surroundings, well actually the same surroundings, but additional individuals.

not giants, and not undead.

He is unsure at he moment as to what to make of these newcomers.

As he quietly strolls about the room, He takes notice of the blood, the creatures are defeated. That is good.

Listening to the exchange of words, his hand shifts the hilt of his blade ready to defend those that remained of his troupe.

eventually reaching the first felled creature he retrieves his shuriken, tucking them away.

Feeling refreshed and vowing to never go through that again Talon tries to slip into the room as stealthily as he can drawing his blade in the process.

if that is the case Talon will plane shift out and go rest until healthy. Talon is the weak link right now, so unless we stop here and rest and heal and restore Talon calls for a retreat.

I just have not posted plane shifting up as I wanted to see if we actually have other players. If we are drained Talon will retreat no matter what the consensus is and go rest for a week before continuing or however long it takes to get back to full strength. So no entering the room.

Choon you plan on reducing the enemies to account for a near dead party of three?

Having failed to make it up the ravine and ready to continue, Talon looks to the other two.

We have lost enough already, many of us did not even make it this far so before we continue, either we all retreat or I retreat to a safe spot and rest for a bit. most likely we will have to retreat for several days unless we can find some divine help

Talon will give a short wait for suggestions then he plane shifts to the plane of shadow and leaves to find a safe spot to rest. (might be back where we first met.)

Sorry Choon, but the way this place has been for Talon, he has no problems retreating. he has been rather ineffective most of the time.

Talon remained at the top of the stairs. He had no means to fly, and after seeing the effect climbing seemed out of the question.

seems going back out is the way to go. I have no means to get past this

the story of Talon through much of this it seems, actually he may have a way but he will have to deal with probably worse things instead.

GM:

would shadow walk work here or is it to bright? last option is plane shift to shadow plane then go. but both require Talon to enter the shadowplane thus putting him in probably a worse case.

so I can die slowly by climbing or die quickly in the shadow plane. If planar travel is possible

its not a matter of speed, more like shadows. a simple plane shift here and exit over there.

is the negative energy for everyone or just the first through the door?

Talon passes through the door to catch a glimpse of the room beyond.

will DC 25: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23 Of course that would be the case, +1 vs traps though but that is still only a 24

Talon absorbs the negative energy seemingly unfazed but there is tell tale evidence that he was wounded.

I could try and navigate the room to the object in the middle.

Talon checks the double doors, these inscriptions, I see some connection with Baba Yaga. as he examines closer, but here, he looks closer, yes definitely a Wendigo, or so it seems to be.

Taking a step back he looks over the inscriptions, Up there, I can't seem to make them out, probably very old.

Talon feels the healing wash through him, as cracked ribs are mended, and bruises fade.

Talon feels refreshed, but the threat still remains and he needs to find a way to bring him down.

Talon backs up from the really big giant, and with deadly precision and a concentrated aim he hurls a single Adamantine shuriken.

use Deadly Shuriken ability to throw a single shuriken but get several rolls to hit and each hit deals extra damage

@Choon.. My evasion comment was my surprise to realize Talon does not have evasion... but after the save and the cold resistance that cold damage was reduced to only 3 damage

Talon had been flung back to the group and given his report of what he saw prior to the business end of a huge warhammer.

He gets up and brushes himself off, well, that was a bit unexpected.

moved myself on the map to where I probably landed. I know in game mechanics it does not work like that, but I though it made for a fun story

from his new vantage point on the stairs there is what appears to be some sort of white wolf. Talon simply holds a hand out and a ray of black energy shoots forth to strike at it.

nah no need to retcon, I like the idea of Talon scouting ahead then there is a loud WHAM and Talon flies back to the group. he then reports there is a very big warhammer in the other room.

dodge? he only misses on a 1, 2, or 3 everything else hits. at least in the shadow plane he can't hit me, or find me.

then i may make a surprise attack.

also what are the effects of multiple doses of poison on the same target?

I think I read it increases the save DC by 2 for each additional dose.

except for the little trail of blood i leave behind.... also the room has very little room for maneuvering. I think that If I moved back first to warn the group then a lot may have changed before I entered. more like I warn them as I flying back down the stairs. (also I am only invisible for 16 rounds, so chances are I was not invisible moving up the stairs)
