"Yes. Thank you." Talia replies to the paladin after a moment and then speaks again "I too was haunted by an...unsettling dream last night. I was in a grave yard, unable to protect my rising children from a gigantic skeletal hand that came down from the heavens and snatched them from me. It seems that Fate has bound us, Azuma Stormcloud. I shall meditate on this matter after our meeting with the Baron." She spends the res of the journey to the castle brooding in silence, staring intently in an unsettling manner at Azuma.I'd like to make whatever knowledge check is applicable. Would it be Know (Planes) or Know (Religion)? Would I just mediatate or something and make a Wisdom check to try to figure out any deeper meaning? I'll ask my superiors at the temple when a convienent time arises.

At Azuma's apology Talia starts out of her reverie and stares at him with an unblinking gaze, contemplating. "Coincidence does not happen. Not when so much has already happened." she thinks, already considering how best to get the falchio-wielding man to reveal his nightmare.

Talia wanders in a few minutes late, a preoccupied expression on her face as she toys with the hourglass shaped pendant that hangs from her neck. She says nothing, only nodding briefly to everyone and following them to the castle in silence.

"I believe that we are to visit him tomorrow. Or have I misunderstood you Laryndis. So often do I misinterpreted the words of the living." Talia says, inquiring to Laryndis quietly.

I'm waiting. I've no buisness until the meeting with the baron.

She pauses for a moment, considering her answer before saying "I was taken in by the clergy of Orran after my homeland was devastated by a plague. I found that the teachings and ways of Orran were not for me so I left seeking out Fate and found a home within the temple."

"It is not a matter of talent, it is a matter of faith. Our patrons have many areas of overlapping interest however our methods differ considerably." Talia sighs "I should be more open to other ways of thought but I disapprove of Erelune's methods.". She smiles slightly at the mention of the bard swooping through the inn's common room ashe sings and says "He would certainly be the first performer to do so. It is rare for Versonton to host a flying minstrel."

Talia has a slight look of disapproval on her face as the bard sings of Erelune but she makes no comment.

"I would be honored to accompany these people to an audience with Count Verson."

"We appreciate the gesture, Master Lyrandis." she says with a slight smile "Do you mind if I stay and listen? This has piqued my curiousity and I would greatly desire to hear more of these events."

Talia bows slightly to the half-elf and says "Greetings Laryndis. These are people who defeated two fiend creatures, perhaps the Shrieking Ghost, perhaps not, on the edge of town."

Damn. Sorry about that, I was in a hurry.

She nods in response to the stories of these heralds, pursing her lips slightly at mention of Erelune. "False prophets, though even fals prophets may be herlads."
To their questions she softly responds "Laryndis Elvenblood is the proprietor of the Water Under the Bridge. His sister is married to Count Laryndel, Count of Versonton and he is a respected member of the community. I expect that Count Laryndel will be able to inform you more of the Shrieking Ghost. All that I know is that it first appeared a week after the arrival of the Green Wizard, about whom I know naught. I fear that I spend more time in the Sepulchers watching over the dead than speaking with the living, so I gather litle gossip."

Talia seems to pay no attention to the conversations between everyone else and is lost in thought.
"When seven stars fall upon the bridge over Telwynd... Perhaps these are my seven stars. Perhaps the herald's of Death for whom I have been waiting." A faint smile spreads across her face as she considers these possibilities and she quickens her pace. She must know more about these people and the circumstances that bring them here. "What brings a group of heroes such as yourselves to Versonton at such an advantageous time?" she asks as she walks "What twists of fate brought you here, to this town on this morning?". She tries to conceal her eagerness, to seem like nothing more than a curious person but a little bitof her excitement gets through, giving her a more animate expression.

Talia leads these newcomers to Laryndis.

When Azuma presnets himself she bows in return and says "Welcome Azuma Stormcloud. Your service to the Lady is appreciated and welcomed. Versonton and the temple thank you and your companions."
Speaking to the rest ofthe group she says "Please, follow me. I shall bring you to Laryndis."

At Xendril's announcement Talia sighs and turns to Myril "Please, leave this square at once and never again sell your false charms. Times are hard enough without you stealing these people's gold for a few baubles."

A pale young woman in the robes of a Weird of Thetos steps out of the crowd "What you describe are vargoiules, foul creatures from the outre planes capable of spawning more of their kind by their venemous bite. Please, follow me and I shall lead you to the inn."
She is a short and sleight, with slightly pointed ears that give away her elven heritage poking out from her long black hair. Her large green eyes are a little distant, as if she is seeing into another world and they contain some deep melancholy. She smiles, a small, bittersweet smile and says "Welcome to Versonton. I am Talia, Weird of Thetos. We owe you a debt of gratitude for your slaying of these vargoiules."

Alright, I think I'm done. How do you want to introduce me?

Okay my character sheet is finished but I need a little more information before I finish up my backround.
What god would be close to Pelor in regards to hatred of the undead?
What responsibilities would a traveling Weird of Thetos have?
