She also readies a magic missile to be targeted at anyone who attacks the party within her line of sight.

Taiuna trots up to the sensor, cracks open a service plate and fiddles with some wires. She telepathically communicates I've disabled it. We won't have to worry about this nasty thing anymore. Which way?

Nothing too interesting in the lockers. I can't see much of interest out here. Maybe it's time to head into the mine?

As the giant goes down, Taiuna squeals happily. She briefly raises her arms in success lowers them just as quickly, embarrassed at her outburst.

Hmphf. Refocused, Taiuna moves into a position to see the Ysoki nearest The Knight of Tides through the opening in the energy wall and lets loose with an Energy Ray (acid).

Ah. It's most unfortunate that Talbot has swindled you. Our story wasn't entirely honest, before. Talbot has something of ours. We want it back. Perhaps we could work together? We've got an interest in seeing justice served. When we find him, we can contact proper authorities. Would that be agreeable?

Taiuna's antennae twitch in surprise. Raynald Talbot has seems to have made an impact here. For his sake I hope he's come up with some bold, entrepreneurial enterprise to "breathe life into this place" and is not passing his false gold out as currency.

She turns to Gideon and telepathically says, Gideon, I suggest we head over to our guarded friend in the corner and propose a business opportunity that only Reynald can help with. Perhaps she can point us in the right direction?

Using her telepathy, Taiuna, brings everyone's attention to the shirren.

As Taiuna scratches, blue smoke appears to seep out from around her sleeve, maybe coming from the brand itself.

Following closely behind the shirren, a female lashunta decked out in tech approaches. As she pulls up her sleeve to scratch her arm it's possible to catch a glimpse of a large burn scar on the inside of her wrist. The shape of the scar, a circle with two perpendicular, bisecting lines, makes one wonder if that burn was afflicted intentionally. A brand perhaps....
