Life Link (Su)
Whenever the eidolon takes enough damage to send it back to its home plane, the summoner can, as a free action, sacrifice any number of hit points. Each hit point sacrificed in this way prevents 1 point of damage done to the eidolon. This can prevent the eidolon from being sent back to its home plane.

In addition, the eidolon and the summoner must remain within 100 feet of one another for the eidolon to remain at full strength. If the eidolon is beyond 100 feet but closer than 1,000 feet, its current and maximum hit point totals are reduced by 50%. If the eidolon is more than 1,000 feet away but closer than 10,000 feet, its current and maximum hit point totals are reduced by 75%. If the eidolon is more than 10,000 feet away, it is immediately returned to its home plane. Current hit points lost in this way are not restored when the eidolon gets closer to its summoner, but its maximum hit point total does return to normal.

Bond Senses (Su)
A summoner can, as a standard action, share the senses of his eidolon, hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting, and touching everything the eidolon does. He can use this ability a number of rounds per day equal to his summoner level. There is no range to this effect, but the eidolon and the summoner must be on the same plane. The summoner can end this effect as a free action.

Background:
Taerl was born in the city of Orfal. He displayed a talent for magic at an early age. As a baby his mother recalls Taerl's habit of spontaneously calling butterflies to flutter about him when he was upset. They seemed to have a calming effect.

Taerl's summoning ability increased in potency as he reached maturity. His relationship with Talos the eidolon began during an incident when Taerl was a teenager. When Taerl was 14 he went hiking near the Godscar. The hike started without a problem, but Taerl became separated from his friends and found himself alone and lost in the desert. His innate summoning ability was not enough to save him because any creature he summoned was just not smart enough to help him find his way home.

As he became weaker and weaker he was not able to walk anymore in the desert. In his dilerium his summoning power manifested itself by calling Talos from his home plane. Talos found the boy unconcience, but was able to nurse him back to health and take him back to his family. Taerl’s family was relieved, but wary of the stranger. That started the bond between Taerl and Talos.

The people of Taerl’s village were not quite hostile to Talos, but they were always uncomfortable with his presence (and Taerl’s innate magical ability). This continued to Taerl’s adulthood, so Taerl was always treated as an outsider by the rest of his village. Taerl left shortly after reaching adulthood to get a fresh start in another part of the world.

This journey involved adventures across the continent and eventually brought him to Kingsblood. He figured he could just blend in to the large crowds in Kingsblood for a well deserved rest…..

Appearance:
Taerl's appearance is always a bit disheveled. His tousled hair is brown and his eyes are green.

Appearance
Talos almost human looking, but he last one common human feature...hair. He is completely hairless and has an extra set of limbs too. He wears a long cloak that he uses to hide his extra pair of arms when needed. His skin is light-colored and his eyes are blue.
