Oh, huh. I misread Elemental Fist. I thought the feat made you pick one element upon feat selection. I’m guessing the author misread it as well.

gotta love archetype features that do nothing. Le sigh...

Can anyone tell me what advantage the Elemental Strike class feature gives? I see no point to choosing after. Perhaps i'm missing a clever use or just reading it wrong. If anything, won't it hurt when trying to use some of those style feats?
You do extra damage a limited number of times per day, like a limited flaming weapon, only you get to change the elemental damage type. That lets you get around resistances and match whatever style you’re using to get bonus damage.

Sorry, i was trying to be non-spoilery and i think my question became vague. I know how the Elemental Fist works. Im just not sure how the features added benefit helps at all. Normally you choose the element before you strike but Elemental Strike lets you chose after. How does that impact it at all? Am i missing something?

Peering out from beneath his arm covering his face from the snow whipping about, Locke muuttered to himself "I've grown unaccustomed to such harsh weather; it's been too long since I've seen the North..." The cold had already seeped into his core, ruining his efforts to find suitable shelter - or so he told himself. The whole situation, being so unnatural, has left him out of his element. Frustrated at his skills failing him, he turns around and beings to head back to the meeting point, hoping one of his other new companions had better luck than him. If there's one thing he remembered from his long years in the North, it's that blood freezes just like anything else...

Sorry i havent made much of an appearance, been a busy week for me. As for next session, I can play for sure but if you'd rather postpone that's fine too. While looking up how kineticist work we saw the spiritualist, thinking of trying that out if we turn into Popsicles.

Shooting for hunter myself. tho i RPed a wolf im thinking of maybe playing a cat or perhaps an owl : 3
Anytime Saturday would be good with me.

Yea, i tried sending you one and couldnt figure it out either! is there some sort of trial period before u can? lol Anyway, i sent you one on roll20 : )

Dot? I think? : )

For those of us who don't make it, pop in and let us know whats happening! I hope this taverns 24/7... o.o

Locke smiles while watching the various conversations unfold registering a certain elevation in the overall tension of the room. Unsure of the outcome, he remains motionless in his chair, seeming to blend into the background of the moment in an effort to remain outside of the events happening yet close enough to intervene - should he think it's best to.

"Forgiveness is divine but never pay full price for late pizza!"
Sorry, couldn't resist to toss in that reference!

"In the mountains surrounding my homeland there is a flower that blooms most beautifully tho its stem is covered in thorns. If you by chance prick yourself on one such thorn no harm will come to you but... if you prick yourself a second time... well, you will die within the minute. We call this flower 'Damy Gordost' meaning Ladies Pride!" leaning back in his chair, he begins to chuckle when Sha turns and bites his hand.
"Yeouch! You are a beautiful flower as well 'Ol Girl, and it is good your thorns are not the same or I'd have died many moons ago!" he says as he continues to chuckle, wincing slightly as he rubs the mark left from the wolfs rebuke.

"Grim business, judging people. I find it a relief that your fervor does not preclude you from staying your hand when mercy is a choice. It is a testament to your faith. I've seen too many horrors committed in the name of the gods..."
Locke's attention appears to shift inward until a yip from Sha startles him back to the conversation garnering a smile and another ear scratch.
"I find comfort in nature, myself. There is a certain elegance in its structure. There is the law of Life and Death and it is absolute, a comfort that is..."

"Miss, i believe what's happening is, by some greater force, we've joined the strangest inn this side of the world. I've never quite seen so many different folk of such ranging potential. I know not what it is but something is beginning to move, within the shadows, something sinister and I believe we are it's counterpart. We are the light sent to root out whatever it may be."
Locke pauses for a moment and leans over to scratch one of Sha's ears.
"For various reasons we've all found ourselves here in this tavern but I do not think it is merely by chance. We each have been nudged along this path, to this very spot, this very table, by the forces that oversee our lives. Be it the portents the gods lay before us.. the whispers in the wind.. the allure of possible knew knowledge... the truth to questions long unanswered... the urging of the spirits... or simply the possibility of a story yet written.. "
A stern look covers Locke's face as his eyes drift across the table at the myriad of faces assembled before him, pausing at each as goes through this list.
With a sudden shift, Locke's face loosens and he cracks a broad smile before saying
"Or perhaps we're all here to enjoy a good drink! Isn't that right 'Ol Girl?"

I've never used this forum so i didnt even know alias's existed! I just realized u could click on someones portrait to see their character! Cool! I gotta fill mine out too : )

The wolf leans her snout towards the steaming cup in Miro's hands and gives a quick inquisitive sniff before recoiling and wiping at her nose with a paw.

"A strange table we've found ourselves at. Strange but merry group indeed. Forgive us if we come off unsociable, we're not quite used to this level of... what's the word... Ah yes! That's it, thanks 'Ol Girl, "engagement". We keep to ourselves mostly so seeing all your mannerisms is quite intriguing. We do enjoy new things, don't we, Sha?"

OOC: sorry i haven't been engaged in the RP, did a bit of traveling for my birthday :)

By the way, i'm RPing this as having a wolf pet but it'd be super cool to have some sort of bird or another. Havent been on the PF scene in a long time and aren't sure if there's things i can do to make that a more viable option. Of course, flavor-wise, all is ok, but i hate being dead weight when the going gets tough lol. Any suggestions?

Following Sha into the tavern, Locke and his wolf are greeted by several many uneasy stares from patrons around the room along with the blanching barkeep and the sight of the pair.
"Come Girl, let's mind our P's and Q's with the locals." Locke says as he approaches the barkeep who's face looks like he's eaten a dozen pickled goodberries left out in the afternoon sun.
Ignoring the mans sour appearance, Locke dispenses a gold coin and sets it in front of the man. The shiny luster instantly dissolves the mans frown into an eager smile.
"For a pitcher of ale, a large bowl, and for..." he nods his head to Sha, who's come up beside Locke and the bar "...the hospitality you'll show us tonight, is what it's for."
The barkeep makes a mock attempt at deliberating until the glint on the newly pressed coin convinces him to nod in agreement.
As the keep disappears most likely for the bowl, Locke scans the room for a place to sit. As his eyes drift across the many tables filled with patrons huddled inward in some attempt to become invisible, he notices a table with ample free seats, accompanied by a peculiar halfling - that is to say, an average halfling - and, as if in a mocking juxtaposition, a rather imposing figure in some argument perhaps?
Mumbling his thanks to the keep, Locke takes his pitcher and bowl in each hand and ambles over to the table. Whatever argument the two might have had seems to have been resolved by the time he sits down at the table for the halfling has returned to his seat and exchanges greetings with his counterpart punctuated by an exchange of a coin.
"I hope i'm not intruding on some personal affair, it's just this appears to be the only table with ample room for me and my partner. My name is Locke, it is, and this here is Sha. We don't spend much time in town you see, and I was wondering if one of you might allow me to pick your ear on what's to know these days, i hoped."
Without waiting for a response, Locke sits down on the other side of the table, next to Sha, who's taken seat next to his chair and sets the bowl on the table in front of her. Pouring a large portion of ale into the bowl first, he then gestures the remainder of the pitcher to the two across the table.

"I don't like it either..." uttered Locke suddenly, startling the merchant from his appraisal of the pelts piled on the stall in front of him.
"Pardon?" replied the vendor unsure of what spurred the Hunters remark.
"Sorry, not you, was replying to my 'ol girl here." he responded, reaching over and petting the head of the old grizzled wolf that had been sitting and staring - silently - unnervingly at the merchant the whole time.
"I see..." was all the merchant could retort.
"She can feel it in her bones, she can. Somethings not right. The animals sense it too. A storm's brewing, it is. You feel it, dont you Sha?"
"..ot! Ho..! H..t!" A sudden burst of exclamations eminate out from the inn beside them causing the wolf turn and face that direction, The first motion she made since they approached the merchant to sell their goods.
"You're the boss." Locke responded to some unseen exchange with his partner. "You heard the lady, hurry up and count em. They're all there, just as I said, there's some people we need to meet..."

OOC Not sure how to do all that fancy bold or rolls n such. did i do it right? I don't use forums often. :P Also not sure if the spots are filled or not but it's fun to RP anyhoo

So im new to PF so my view on this might be wrong but the only advantage i see of elephant stomp is u can charge someone right next to you when combined with charge through.

Firstly, i really think elephant stomp is more designed to be an animal companion feat since it has all that natural attack business in there. That said this ability would be nice when used as a mount.

Using the line examples as above:
P=animal with said feats serving as a mount for your PC
M=monster
T=Target
PM---T

Since M is right next to you, you cannot charge him and get +2
BUT! Since T is a valid distance away you can designate him as your target, overrun M on the way, beat dc by 5, then stop, elephant stomp and your rider gets charge bonus to a mob next you him.

Yes? No? Maybe?
