Female Skinwalker Adaptive Shifter 1 HP 11/11 - AC 15 - TAC 12 - FFAC 13 - CMD 16 - Fort +4 - Ref +3 - Will +3 - Inititive +4 - Perception +7 - Sense Motive +3 - Current Morph [None] - Current Form [Base]

"We'll be the judge of that~" Sylvia said walking in with part of her party into the tavern, eager to have a decent meal, and as aside bonus all the empty buildings around meant the food was probably discount due to lack of travelers. Score!

She enjoyed the sound of her boots rapping ground that wasn't a hollow deck for once, no more rocking or shaking every time she needed to get up for something. She didn't do well on boat rides, or perhaps just wasn't experienced enough with them to have build up a tolerance. Still trading waves for undead would be considered a poor trade for anybody who wasn't a glory seeking adventurer out to make their name known to the world.

Her fingers rapped upon her chin as she heard that the beasts assaulting the people were once druids. "That seems unlikely, normally druids stray very far from the path of the fang to in depth..." The shifter muttered, her own style being similar to the very druids that are rumored to be these evil lycanthropes.

"It probably bares further investigation if we get the time?" She asked looking back to the rag-tag group, though eyes more focused on William, the man in the large feathered cap, having a feeling that he was one of that self same profession from his talk of healing and lack of religious attire. The red head simply kept her way forwards, exiting the ship after the paladin, looking forwards to heading in the direction the inn to get their room for the next few days. She had had enough of sleeping on a moving rocking boat.

The young huntress' face screwed up as he got to the part in his information about were-beats running amuck, generally finding the idea of cursed ones hunting down humanoids to be both pitiable and unforgivable. She hoped that they stayed at bay, she was not one who looked forwards to taking out distant curse-cousins but she wouldn't hesitate if it meant keeping innocents safe.

"Thanks for all of the information." She said a bit grumpily, the tingling spell of the bless nice but foreign. With a heft of the bag on her shoulders she prepared to walk down the gangplank, assuming that he had finished any inspection of them thoroughly enough for the knights liking.

Watched calmly as they were boarded and 'cleansed' of any potential sprints, vampires, and ect. She ideally thought back to the olden times when her own ancestors might have been included in such category, it was almost unimaginable now a days.

Sylvia responded to the rules of the city by fishing out her own silver symbol from under her tunic top, letting it dangle freely on her chest, having a feeling things would be easier if she did. "Thank you for a direct and clear explanation of the rules Ser. I will make sure we follow them." she stated with a small smile.

Though she still didn't have a full read of her partners in this employ yet, so she was unsure if she could really hold herself to that statement yet, the Elven man seemed to be the inquisitive type in his own right, so he'd probably be easy to rely on to obey the laws.

A hearty thump thump of boots on wooden deck could be heard as Sylvia stepped onto the hold's wooden flooding, sliding out of the small bedroll she had taken up residence on the long trip south. So they were finally arriving to the land they called 'cursed', The Black Reach. She tempered her own excitement for the time being giving a few stretches too and fro, her clothing stretching and unfolding as it got back into shape.

Her large backpack was pulled out of the scattered storage, pulling free the thick cloth tabard and light leather straps that made up her armor, beginning to get fitted for exploration when the captain told them that their destination was near and they had to get ready to go above. She had wanted to meet the others in this lord employ for the trip, but it would have to wait til a bit later it would seem.

Finishing the last of her preparations she hauled her bag free and slung it over her shoulder, heading up the deck to get a good look, and it was exactly what she pictured, even down to the rotting smell. This was nothing like White Rock, there was no playful snow and rock covering the landscape. No mysterious air, but an oppressive stench, no wait that was probably just the sea.

She gave a small smile, and nod, to the other woman who had beat her up deck, being friendly but for now remaining quiet. It seemed to her that the guests that had arrived a the bottom of the gang-plank had more pressing matters and she was not one to cut them off. She had been told people found it rude or somematt like that.

Checking in as well, and this seems like ti will be a fun mixture of people, all generally heroic fro mthe looks of it, which tends to be the best.
Might as well see what I know, but I doubt it will be much XD
history: 1d20 ⇒ 2

No real questions thus far but there will no doubt be moe in the future, I also approve of the more simplistic game style, even thought I do like the tactical planing and positioning.

I had a feeling I'd be picked primarily due to my more tanky martial class choice when I saw that many of the other applicants were more rougish or casters with very few bruisers being submitted. I also had a feeling druids would come up in the game after reading the history section, so it also feels like I cheated a bit... Still I'm glad to be chosen and will do you all proud for you!!

Logically sound to me, not that it matters for quite some time, said combo can't even begin til 6th.

Speaking of 6th, did you have a particular leveling speed in mind, like how fast you generally want us to progress from level to level?

I know some gms like to hand out level ups like candy, and reasonably so, all the fun monsters are higher level.

But others like to take it at a super slow pace for realism/consistant balance sake.

Rational and well thought out, thank you for taking your time to go through the rules to find your best ruling you could give! I love dm's like you that dig in to look at all the nitty gritty.

I do wish Paizo would have made the X Person spells all have a X Monster version, specifically for abilities like this to replicate with less confusion; but you work with what you're given. *Shrug*

Yes, that is allowed. particular Knowledge in one school of magic works for what Lore is. However it mostly gives info along thevlines of the creators of those spells :P

Hmm while that is not that useful, it is flavorful to know origins of that kind of magic; which kinda is what background skills is all about, so that's fine.

What is your ruling on Adaptive shifter's Giant Form and Wild shape working together. By RAI they don't function, but not for any of the normal reasons why. See Enlarge person doesn't fail to stack cause it only effects humanoids, since wildshape doesn't actually change your type, nor does it cause issues being two polymorph effects (Which normally don't stack by default) cause Enlarge person isn't a polymorph tagged spell, just a basic transmutation.

No why it doesn't work is weirdly cause you can't have two effects that change your size, as per the rules in enlarge person. But what if the wild shape chosen isn't a different size from me? It's just in a weird grey area of 'almost work' and since pretty much all the reactive forms are designed to be used in wild shape, it's really up to gm rule. I'm fine either way and it wont come up til further in the game, but might as well get it hammered out now for down the line.

I actually forgot about background skills, is Lore: Transmutation appropriate since Lore: Evocation is one of the options? Makes sense for my character to be able to have a greater ability to know what a transmutation spell or effect is after all.

Alright so my character was apparently unfinished, cause I missed a few things, so I did a second draft of the stat block while making the alias (This right here obviously).
