Svetlana responds to Jaestra "Oh.. well I know you are very busy, but if you happen to find the time that would be very much appreciated. I admit that is a skill I don't have. Cook em or stuff em is about all I can do. My father ran hunting lodges on the south border. We'd stuff the catches; trophies for the rich folk playing hunter. I think that is where Oleg got the idea of something like a stuffed tatzlwyrm head for the trading post."

Will put map in campaign info >exploration map<

Svetlana whispers something in Oleg's ear which sets him off to the storage shed. She then addresses Culdin and Zanna before addressing the Duzenheim trio... "Oleg is fetching bedrolls for you we'll set you up in the guest house. We've made some room for the three of you in the main house. It'll be a bit crowded but... we'll manage."
Dooz shakes his head "Wouldn't dream of it m'lady. Whippoorwill'll be fine in the wagon." He stands turning toward the group. "Good night all. Thank you again for the spectacular rescue." He offers a hand to help Gilda to her feet "My dear." They head inside the main house. Mr Whippoorwill smiles contently and nods to Svetlana as she looks to him to make sure he is fine.

should be OK with 4 although you're pretty light on healing.

You ride with Svetlana northwest along South Rostland Road for a few miles before turning onto a wagon trail to the northeast. You travel through rocky scrubby terrain, and soon see the camps. Dozens and dozens of slummy shacks and grubby tents lie on either side of the trail. Small gardens snake around the entire area. You see the people milling about, several gathered around a fire, skinning and roasting a few lean coyotes. You also see quite a few children running around... many of them come to the side of the trail, and watch you pass.
"It is possible we could find what we need here... could get you on the road an hour or so faster than going all the way to Gielgud farms"
A balding dark-bearded dwarf steps out of one of the larger tents a few paces from the trail. Behind him is a fenced area holding several pigs. He waves as Svetlana introduces him Rumpli the pig farmer and you as "the New Hope of the Narlmarches". Svetlana leans down and whispers something to him.

perception DC25:
"Don't be crude"
Rumpli bows slightly leaning on a long cudgel... "Good to meet you. Hope is always welcome here."

"Not dangerous... just depressing. There is little farmable land in the area, and too many people. Many have fled the wilds you seek to tame, and there is not enough food or work for them. Many of the farming landowners do what they can to help, but demand is high in New Stetven... there is only so much they can spare."

Oleg starts giving directions to the farm when Svetlana cuts in. "Happy to show you the way. I need to pick up a few things anyway, and I'd appreciate the company... it is not a pleasant ride."

"Morning... Goodman Green .." still uncomfortable with how to refer to everyone "I'm just fine thank you. No ... not my thing to .." she kind of gestures toward the firepit/social area, then says with a slight nod "I believe in good first impressions."

She goes on to discuss the newly arrived priest in a matronly sarcastic tone of voice.... "Father? .. Kavken .. Jhod. Could see it instantly. He and Oleg. Like two peas in a pod. Oleg was going on about what all we're gonna be building, and how 'tremendous' this and that, and Jhod just fed his ego. Don't trust a yes man. But ... come to find out he was buttering him up to fetch a fair price for his hand-carved mugs. He didn't know that Oleg gets stingier the more he drinks ... cuz he knows he'll get the math wrong."

"Thank you. I will let you know if anything comes up. Oh! Don't you dare go to any trouble risking yourself over that stupid dragon head for Oleg!"

Svetlana rolls her eyes at the drunk priest and then looks at Furiel oddly. "Have I seen a bird fly into camp?" ... it takes her a few seconds to realize he is serious "I'm sorry no I haven't, Master Furiel."

You wake to the smell of baking bread. As you are getting up, you can hear Svetlana humming. Oleg and one of Kesten's guards are already at the table chatting as Svetlana starts bringing out breakfast, and throws several sausages on the firepit grate. "Good morning!"

Svetlana returns. She and Oleg both see you off "Luck be with you. Come back safe." As you head out .. Jaestra can, at least for now, clearly see the tracks heading south toward the forest miles away. This enables a fair pace to start, and the open landscape between Oleg's and the woods allows for unguarded conversation.

Svetlana approaches she gives Arliss an unexpected comforting smile... Arliss looks much younger now that he has wiped most of the grime from his face. She turns to the group. "I'd like to take Claptrap to Gielgud farms for some shopping... I'll see if I can get a couple of their strapping boys to help keep an eye on our new friends if you need to leave for a bit." she makes sure to put emphasis on the "strapping boys" and give Oleg a teasing look.
"I'll take the young elf girl with me... she has awoken.. seems perfectly healthy but only words I've gotten out of her is "That's strange" ... creepy... I'll leave her with the doctor they have there."

Svetlana hears her husband's yell ..she tries to compose herself. She opens the door to the bedroom to check on Sorcerer once more before posting up at the north door.

"I just checked on your friend .. her temperature seems fine... just sleeping. Regardless, I'm sure she will be safest locked in the main house with me." Svetlana shrugs and tucks a few errant locks back into her bandana.

Svetlana walks over to Sorcerer "Are you feeling alright?" She feels Sorcerer's forehead. "She's as cold as ice!... I'm taking you inside.. we have a little furnace by the bed." Svetlana starts leading her to the main house.
"Oleg, get them settled in and get our bedrolls out of the stockroom. This little one will take our bed until she is feeling better. Good night all... and thank you."

Svetlana looks unsure how to take this news of Sir Ogden. She casts a worried glance at Oleg, like a woman who knows what sets off her tempermental husband. When Norton excuses himself she replies "certainly" nods and smiles.

Now it is Svetlana's turn to be caught off-guard... She blushes and curtsies again "Why thank you .. Master Valertis. Then this must be Sir Ogden?" turning toward Norton "Or is he still on the way? .. Oh my manners, please everyone help yourselves to the stew, bread and wine I've set out on the tables ... this one is on the house."

Svetlana replies to Alice "Oh my, thylacines... they can be- M'lord " interrupts herself with a curtsy when Norton enters the gate " they can be..unpredictably aggressive. M'lord" curtsies again when Rogar emerges from the wagon. "They don't usually-" her eyes turn to saucers when she notices Green Man "My Lord..."

Smedley pulls your wagon in front of the stables, walks back to take the reins from Alice and gets to work preparing your new horses to be stabled.

Svetlana recovers and quickly points out to Norton and Ta' de-win "Go on ahead ...brushes, fresh water and feed are inside the stable... all for 4 silver a day."

As you pass the southeast corner of the fort you see the open gate on the south wall... A figure in a simple looking dress and hair up in a bandana holds an unhooded lantern just outside waving. She calls out "Smedley? to which Smedley answers "ayep"
The lantern casts enough light to get a fair view of the south face of what you can see now is a wooden palisade... roughly 10 or 12 feet high, and watchtowers on each corner another ten feet or so higher. Just inside on the left is a stable, you see three more small structures inside... nothing else immediately recognizable.
A barrel-chested man with light balding hair and trim beard pulls a steaming bucket from a spit over a firepit centered between a building to the immediate right and a larger one directly north. A ladder leans up against the structure to the immediate right, and the man carries the steaming bucket up the ladder, barely glancing at you.
"Come on in and get unloaded... we'll get you fed while we wait for the others. I'm Svetlana" as you approach. She turns to the man climbing the ladder "Oleg ... can't that wait?"
