From a small, farming village 70 or 80 miles inland of the Andoran coast, nestled between Augustana and Almas, Susanoah is the eldest son of a family of hard-working, well-respected, and politically-active trademen. His father, Alæster Cu'Laiomh, a skilled hunter, has worked diligently and dutifully to ensure fair treatment of the smallfolk scattered throughout the region and is seen as something of a sheriff/mayor by many of the farming communities in the area. His mother, Luella, is an artist of some renown, selling paintings and jewelry as well as travelling here and there as a singer possessed of a beautiful, clear voice.

Susanoah has been on several trips with one parent or another to the cities to the east and west and learned much in the way of cosmopolitan life. He has received a practical education at home and a more philosophical one in the cities, learning about art and language. He too has a strong sense of community spirit, and in the interest of protecting not only those he loves, but all those unable to protect themselves he has decided to take up the sword and devote himself to the way of the Paladin.

The training required would send him far from home, to the massive metropolis of Absalom. His mother and father were proud of him, paying his passage, asking only that he return someday so that they might see the man he had become. Susanoah promised and began his journey.

In Absalom, Susanoah was exposed to a somewhat less neighborly and welcoming environment than he was used to, and found his morals challenged by his surroundings and the small injustices he encountered throughout the big city. Discouraged, he eventually found solace in the church of Shelyn, and a sense of wonder and possibilities at the Grand Lodge.

Susanoah takes to his duties as a pathfinder with a nearly single-minded zeal. He enjoys the adventure and the quest for knowledge and forgotten relics and gladly helps to increase the Society's resources in an effort to leverage them to create lasting good and positive communities through the world.
