Hi All,
We are playing with the mythic rules, and i am curious about how certain abilities stack together.
Note that this is a with a level 20 Tier 10 character.
The things i am particularly interested in are Perfect Strike (path ability), the Foe-Biting ability that can be placed on a Major Artifact Legendary item (My theoretical character is wielding a +5 Holy, keen sword), and the Critical Master path ability
Foe Biting doubles the damage, including the 2d6 vs evil (for evil creatures only obviously)
Perfect Strike also doubles damage AND raises the critical multiplier by 1.
Being as i have Improved Vital Strike and Power attack, my normal damage is 3d6 + 90 (+2d6 vs evil)
i see a number of possibilities all of which are fairly ludicrous (best one outlined below).
The best case scenario: Foe Biting & Perfect strike add to x3 (rather than x4 - think i read about this somewhere in core rules), which is then tripled by the crit multpilier, giving a total of 1080 damage for a single hit (3d6 + 2d6 maximised by Crit master = 30 + 90 = 120, x3 (Foe Biting + Perfect Strike) = 360 x 3 (Crit multiplier) = 1080!!!!)
For the record that is enough to kill all CR30 monsters in a single hit.
I know it could simply be banned as a house rule, but if it is possible i would love to try it once just to see my GM's face.
Any ideas on how to resolve this (or a reference to a core rule specifically preventing this kind of stacking specifically sought!)
Stuart
