You bring into being a mobile, hemispherical energy field that prevents the entrance of most types of living creatures.

The effect hedges out animals, aberrations, dragons, fey, giants, humanoids, magical beasts, monstrous humanoids, oozes, plants, and vermin, but NOT constructs, elementals, outsiders, or undead.

This spell may be used only defensively, not aggressively. Forcing an abjuration barrier against creatures that the spell keeps at bay collapses the barrier.

Now: constructs ok, undead ok, but it says outsiders an elemental, that are the two type that alignament channel and elemental channel seems purpose for...

The feat is:

Alignment Channel

Choose chaos, evil, good, or law. You can channel divine energy to affect outsiders that possess this subtype.
Prerequisites: Ability to channel energy.
Benefit: INSTEAD of its normal effect, you can choose to have your ability to channel energy heal or harm outsiders of the chosen alignment subtype. You must make this choice each time you channel energy. If you choose to heal or harm creatures of the chosen alignment subtype, your channel energy HAS NO AFFECT on other creatures. The amount of damage healed or dealt and the DC to halve the damage is otherwise unchanged.
Special: You can gain this feat multiple times. Its effects do not stack. Each time you take this feat, it applies to a new alignment subtype. Whenever you channel energy, you must choose which type to effect.

But the question remains:

1)When I use my feat, have I to apply the effect of Channel energy at the Outsiders of the selected subtype as I think?
In other words, this fear allows me to considerate Outsider as living creatures for my kind of channel energy?

2)Are Outsiders "living creatures"?

Hello!

I have a LE cleric 8 / Holy Avenger of Zon Kuthon.
I normally Channel negative energy.
I have already chosen Good subtype as Alignment Channel feat.
The question is: when I use my feat, have I to apply the effect of Channel negative energy at the Outsiders of the selected subtype as I think, or can I choose to heal them as my Master says?
Because my Master thinks that Outsiders must be considered as living creatures fot the purpose of negative / positive energy.
