For very selfish reasons, I would dearly love for for vishkanya to get a heritage that has intoxicating rather than toxic blood and weak fangs. It would allow them to give some creepy vampire vibes and fits as an aggressive version of the concept origin. Give them a chain that leads to a dose of Stupify venom and you have a great compliment to nagaji gaze powers.

I like what you have to say and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

They added Minotaurs, Nymphs, and Bugbears which are three out of four of what I felt was missing when I got into the game in 23. Still would like Sthenos though. That is my last really want it one I suppose.

I generally feel like the system is basically the same. Like I was running before, during, and after the Remaster process and I would have to look to see what has been remastered and what has not. It barely constitutes more than errata.

The other thing is lets look at goals. One reason they said they "remastered" it was so people would not feel as much need to buy a rulebook or other book. They can, certainly, and I am sure Paizo would not hate getting that cash, but that was not the goal. Evidence suggests part of the 5.5 thing is D&D wanting people to go out and buy another rulebook. Not using a separate name applies less pressure.

And adding to the list of big baddies I have personally introduced into the setting and haven't done much with yet and would love to explore more at some point in the future, let's add...

** spoiler omitted **

I'm not worried about running out of villains, at least for the Adventure Paths and standalone adventures I'm eager to build over the next several years.

If you do something with ** spoiler omitted **, I will spend as much money as exists to buy whatever she appears in.

I second this

Shame we didn't have Faun or Nymph published when Mythspeaker came out!

Yeah my big Iblydos campaign I have been working on for over a year starts Tuesday. So that's me sighing heavily lol.

I feel like there have been some struggles,But the OGL Scandal, Need for Remastering, The USA swinging hard to the right, tariffs, and Diamond Distribution have been a steady stream of punches coming their way. I have noticed some minor bumps but I think they are doing well overall.

The website...was disappointing but out of my area.

I will just say yes, there have been some slips and things that need to be worked on. I would love classes to be worked on rather than keep adding new ones as well.

But I have been playing 36 years, and most of the games I have played, many of which I did and still love, are a clown car compared to even just past year of Paizo. Even my issues I am having, including a couple with Psychic, are very easy for me to fix, while some games it's a lot of "I don't know what to do with this."

I expect things will solidify. Most books I have really enjoyed. I look forward to seeing what they do with the Hellfire Crisis.

Conjecture: Mircalla is a respelling of Carmilla, used in the Novella Carmilla (Mircalla was Carmilla's real name). That would heavily imply that like the vampire from the novel, Carmilla is Mircalla. I suspect Millarea was an attempt to not imply that.

It does touch on one thing that is odd to me. Carmilla is the name of THE Sapphic Vampire of Sapphic Vampires, and Carmilla Caliphaso the PF character does not appear to be Sapphic at all nor a vampire. Which would be minor except there is also the town of Anactoria, a name associated with Sappho's writings which, again, has nothing Sapphic.

It seems weird. I half expect Bilitis Bay used by a male dive team. I am not offended to be clear just something I have found odd since I got into PF
