Hi all,
I'm creating a new character (gnome sorcerer), and I really want to play her as a kind of ambitious-but-naive businesswoman.
She has: Very high charisma, average intelligence, below-average wisdom.
But she makes up for it by confounding people with "BS business words/phrasing." Getting people on board by treating them like employees (even when they're not) etc...
Things were going well until her magic-based company nosedived (because it was mostly fluff). She is now fleeing debtors prison, which is why she ends up in the rest of my adventurer's party. Though she still hasn't lost her megalomaniacal streak.
My question centers around how the economy functions in Golarion. I'm guessing that "credit" and "stock" exist there, because those concepts are a couple thousand years old (stock as we know it going back to 1200 AD, I think). Are there notable aspects of the economy that my character could reference?
And what would be the best origin city? I am thinking of making her come from Magnimar, the Naos (new money) district. But is there a better place to come from to fit this backstory?
