Good question

"It would be difficult if even possible for us," Starwatcher states.

Not sure if we'd know about the whole silver thing?

"To speak we would reveal ourselves. This is unwise. If we can anger his transformed form and lead it to the humanoids, perhaps?"

"He will be more dangerous transformed," Starwatcher points out. "Unless we plan to show his transformed form to the humanoids, it would be better not to wait."

Starwatcher quietly watches the interaction from a distance. When the humans leave the nest in peace, he waits for them to get some distance away before speaking to the others.

"Their prey hides, it seems," he comments. "Do we draw it out or hunt it ourselves?"

No problem, thanks for letting us know!

Starwatcher flies down. He chants a healing spell and reaches out to the wolf's injured leg with a wing.

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

"It will stop the bleeding, at least," he states in High Fauna, not knowing the tongue of wolves. Looking to the rest of the group, he says, "We still need to lead the humans to their true quarry."

He casts an eye over to where Boondocks is distracting them, not wanting to interfere just now.

Oh, I'd missed that the humans were surrounding the wolf. I guess that changed while we gathered.

Starwatcher quickly lands on a branch. "Distract them!" he hoots to the others as loudly as he dares.

Starwatcher could cast Summon Monster to summon a fiendish dog... that will last for one round. But it's a full-round action to cast so he'll need a bit of time. He's hoping to use it to draw attention and then have it run off towards the shack we found before it disappears.

:( Take all the time you need.

Starwatcher perches and listens as the group gathers back together, taking in the different findings and pondering them in silence for a moment. Truth lies in the silence between breaths, as he had learned, so he does not rush to a conclusion.

Finally he speaks. "If we free the wolf, we may lay a trail from the trap to the lair Clalaak found."

M Noble Owl Cleric 1 HP 9/9 | AC 18, T 16, FF 14 | Fort +3, Ref +4, Will +6 | CMB -2; CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perception +4

Starwatcher follows the trail he has found, noting that some of the others seem to be headed the same direction as him.

Starwatcher also looks for any odd tracks or the like, though he makes sure not to draw too close to the rest or draw attention while doing it.

Survival: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23

"That is what they said," Starwatcher confirms.

He considers the situation in silence for a moment, debating what more to say. At length he adds, "It is very odd that Draketh does not know of this."

"They cannot defeat what they cannot find," Starwatcher points out. "If it were lured to them..."

M Noble Owl Cleric 1 HP 9/9 | AC 18, T 16, FF 14 | Fort +3, Ref +4, Will +6 | CMB -2; CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perception +4

Starwatcher waits for the people to pass, then tries to gather the group back together.

"They seem to think a twisted wolf dwells here," he states.

M Noble Owl Cleric 1 HP 9/9 | AC 18, T 16, FF 14 | Fort +3, Ref +4, Will +6 | CMB -2; CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perception +4

Would any of us have any idea about what werewolves are?

M Noble Owl Cleric 1 HP 9/9 | AC 18, T 16, FF 14 | Fort +3, Ref +4, Will +6 | CMB -2; CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perception +4

Starwatcher also stealthily approaches the two-legs. He listens quietly to their words, trying to think of what reason they could have for this hunt.

Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

He finds their words odd. An unnatural wolf? What did they mean by this? Had someone, perhaps, seen Draketh without his knowledge and drawn incorrect conclusions about the noble wolf? Or perhaps his warg adversaries were enacting a strategem by which they hoped to eliminate their rival.

He had to know more. Silently the owl takes a perch in the trees above where the two-legs will soon pass, hoping they will say something about the intended quarry of their hunt beyond it being 'unnatural'.

M Noble Owl Cleric 1 HP 9/9 | AC 18, T 16, FF 14 | Fort +3, Ref +4, Will +6 | CMB -2; CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perception +4

"We need only be close enough to help one another. No closer," Starwatcher states, trusting the implication of his statement (that if they spread out a bit humanoids would not think them associated with one another) would be clear to the others.

M Noble Owl Cleric 1 HP 9/9 | AC 18, T 16, FF 14 | Fort +3, Ref +4, Will +6 | CMB -2; CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perception +4

Starwatcher nods as well. He agrees with the consensus to go and observe the hunters first. Silently he spreads his wings and begins to fly through the forest.

M Noble Owl Cleric 1 HP 9/9 | AC 18, T 16, FF 14 | Fort +3, Ref +4, Will +6 | CMB -2; CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perception +4

Starwatcher listens silently to the others. The suggestion to go where Draketh's wolves have been attacked seems wise, so long as the group stays out of sight. Though infiltrating the human nest and listening to them there might be better--it is possible that the humans would speak about their purpose there, while on the hunt they might be too focused to talk of such things.

Having no real preference between the two options, Starwatcher remains silent, content to follow the consensus of the group.

M Noble Owl Cleric 1 HP 9/9 | AC 18, T 16, FF 14 | Fort +3, Ref +4, Will +6 | CMB -2; CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perception +4

As was his way, Starwatcher had silently taken a perch up in the branches above the meeting place. He listens carefully to the discussion, thinking on what he has observed. The 'humanoids'--he will not call them two-legs, for of course he himself has only two legs--had been more active of late. There must be a reason they hunted wolves. Perhaps they mistook Draketh's pack for foes? Perhaps the cunning Worgs had attacked them to trick them into slaying the wolves of the Darkmoon Wood?

He would have to go and see and hear to learn the truth.

"I speak the tongue of humans," he hoots from above. "I will go."

Sounds great!

Okay, now Starwatcher has background and appearance info.

I'm mostly done with my owl cleric. Mostly I want to write background and appearance type stuff still.

I have a name and a build in my head, I just need to sit down and write it. :D I would like to know if traits are on the table, I'd like to have his stealth score reflect the fact that he's an owl...
