Well, at least we don't have the Red Ring of Death yet.

I pretty much do them by groups. If there are say 2 fighters and 2 rangers, I roll separately for each of those groups, but treat both fighters as having the number I rolled for them and the rangers having the second number I rolled. Obviously named characters get their own initiative roll.

The other GM I took over did that and I didn't know there was even a rule about it.

My problem when I ran this was that my players pretty much tied him up and put him on a horse to drag him back home. Made figuring out how to trigger the random encounters on the way back a bit tricky.

For the final battle, I did manage to convince them to untie him. He charged the Terror Bird and critted it for 15 damage then, which surprised them.

The last few sessions, I have barely had enough people show up to run our scenarios. I'm sure I'm not the first person to run into this problem. What suggestions do you guys have for how to boost attendance and retention?

Note that most of the players who play Pathfinder at my store are middle schoolers, and I think that might have scared off some of the older players who have come for a scenario or two then disappeared.

I'm getting ready to run the scenario this weekend and have a quick question. Does the printed AC for the Vermleks already count the armor bonus for their Flesh Armor special ability? Just wanted to check because it lists +3 armor in their calculation and Flesh Armor also indicates that it gives them +3.

Finally, given the tendancy for PFS characters to kill BBEG's I found that the anti-boon on the chronicle to be a hard pill to swallow, especially after they came so close to being wiped out by the final encounter.

From what I remember, the anti-boon only comes into play if they kill her AND didn't have enough evidence to prove that she was the bad guy. If they kill her but have the evidence, they just don't get either boon.

My group didn't kill her so we didn't run into that, but that's how I read it.
