The man downs his third drink, puts down a copper on the table and saunters toward the door. "You serve horrible swill, old man. You are lucky I don't tell the authorities and have you shut down."

Stéphane fastens his robe. "You as well."
"I should secure my lodgings since I am new to town," Stéphane says, getting up. "I will return in the morning for that breakfast I promised you."
Stéphane stifles a yawn. "Oui, I wouldn't want you to feel discouraged by our first encounter."
"That sounds dangerously close to a relationship," Stéphane says. "I'll think on it."
"I am here for a good long time, until Michael decides he has no use for me," Stéphane answers, cleaning them both up and pulling his breeches back on.

Stéphane holds up his cup after Ieyasu returns with their drinks. "To a good night."
"Très bien," Stéphane says before calling Ieyasu back over. "Two more sakes, s'il vous plaît."
"A little lovemaking," Stéphane says. "In the morning, we get some breakfast." He then gives Elsa a serious look. "But do not have any long-term expectations. If you are alright with that, then we can go. If not, I shall walk away."
"That depends on whether we retire to my place or yours," Stéphane says.
Stéphane chuckles. "Non. I usually rely on my wit and charm to seduce women."
Stéphane gives Elsa a playful wink. "Would you care for another drink?"
"Does that trouble you?" Stéphane asks.
Stéphane finishes his drink. "Oui, I have been accused of that before."
"As I said it is a beautiful name and you are a beautiful woman," Stéphane replies.
"A beautiful and...fitting name," Stéphane says.
Stéphane takes a sip from his bottle. "So, what shall I call you? Or is "Mirokasu-san" fine?"
Stéphane chuckles and pours her another drink. "I hope you aren't planning on losing control of your faculties."
"Of course," Stéphane answers, pouring a little bit in Elsa's cup.
Stéphane gives Elsa a smiles. "Oui, it's one of Ieyasu's special brews. One I came across in my travels through Jin Zhao. It has a stout but sweet flavor." He gives Elsa a wink. "Perhaps you are also stout but sweet?" |
