Today, I successfully cleansed a shrine and re-dedicated it to the "Path of the Heavens!"

Horizon Hunters

Ah.... It is level 3-6.
It isn't a sequel per se, but
Fanciful March of Urwal has a familiar face on the cover, and of course includes Urwal. :)

Horizon Hunters

Iruxi M ! AC 17

Chronicle received, thank you!

There is a follow up to this scenario in season 2. I have too many games going right now, but I could be talked into running it in a couple of weeks, if you would like to take the same characters through.

Spry Conor crosses his arms and bows in resped to each of his new allies. Especially to Urwal and Jaldan (GM Tyranius)!.

"What is your next Path? May I offer a blessing upon it?"

Well done everyone, this has been one of the fastest PbP I have done, so thank you for maintaining the story even while keeping up the pace. :)

Oh man, I really hope this means centaur will become a playable ancestry!

"I have seen a snake eat a rodent nearly twice it's girth. It can do do this with a flexible jaw. A snake with sixteen heads, would always be feeding, but would then starve because it only has one stomach. It might also starve because one throat stretching to accommodate a large meal, would close off the others. It could choke on its throat!"

Spry Conor talks about the energies of nature such as the sun. "Saranrae, goddess of the sun, feeds the plants through photosynthesis, plants feed insects, insects feed birds...." An animal that dies, is returned to earth to feed the plants. A plant can grow in earth, soil and even sometimes sand. There are exceptions of course, but a plant cannot generally grow in rock, nor in fire, he explains. And your rock, and the runes on it are even worse for plants than fire.

"This rock you are using with for an eye, its energies are not those of the sun or of nature. It is tainted with energies of he Abyss. I believe it is also tainting the Path you see before you. Please let us help you correct it." the emissary finishes.

Unless we are using Flynn's check above: Nature: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 woohoo!
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 & all out of hero points! EDIT: Kelvris rolled better than me :)

nature: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
It seems that the leshy’s perceptions have been badly warped. "What

he points to the chunk of Abyssal rock in its eye socket.

I think we go quietly until we can't. Then a couple of us make a distraction so the rest of you can get in there.

Conor is a cliff walker iruxi and might be able to create a few more spaces on the map.

Horizon Hunters

Iruxi M ! AC 17

"Let's try and get a closer look at that stone. All these..." he gestures at the malformed leshies "seem to have a common source," he whispers.

Taking advantage of his natural climbing ability, the iruxi tries to stay to the cliff and avoid notice.

"I can try and help. Stand back in case the energy our friend Rhee's information about stored energy is correct." Once everyone is 30 feet or so away, Spry Conor sticks a long stick under the rock and pushes while Nuac pulls.

spirit link lasts 10 minutes, has it been that long since ending combat?

Adventures/Adventure Paths (as opposed to scenarios) can be done in 'campaign mode'. Meaning (I think) it doesn't have to be PFS legal (or even Pathfinder for that matter). You can report it as the GM, with no players for PFS credit. Things might have changed since PFS1, so double check 'campaign mode' before taking my word for it. :)

For games / scenarios to be 'legal' do all the players need to have an Organized Play id? Say if I had 4 players and only 3 are PFS members. Is the game still 'legal'?

Yes. If you report it is 'legal.' I would have to double check the table minimum, but your description sounds like it is there (three players as I recall, but second edition has some oddities I have not looked.into.)

Two Three examples: if you had a three player table you would bring in a pre-gen. If you had a walk in join your table at the FLGS, said person would not have a PFS number, but still gets to play. If one of your players was a minor and their parents did not want them to have a digital profile that would be allowed.

What does need to happen is that the fourth player must have a PFS legal character. They could not, for example, play an evil orc Red Mantis Assassin, or a dragonborn warlock, or a build their own vorpal chainsaw.

Tigers wounds close as the starry path shimmers and a gash appears on Spry Conor's skin. The cleric calls upon his magic again, this time sending star knife of divine energy at the red centipede.

Divine lance: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10, angelic choir sings: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Tiger's 1 damage transfers to Conor, cast divine lance

*facepalm* I must have confused 'earn income' with 'recall knowledge' when I rolled that. Lore skill would +3 instead of +7.

Spry Conor moves forward and prays to the Path of Heavens. He throws out a scaled hand causing a stream silvery stars to fly out and hit Loong LaoHu. The stars create a path between the two, before fading to the barest of shimmering lines.

Of course the iruxi can't resist a game of tug! He relays the Path finder's trek through the forest, while playing with Berry-Eater.
After losing a couple tugs, he just holds the cord in one hand while going through the papers for anything similar to the current predicament.

    Nature: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Dad was already 'Little Conor' because Grandpa is 'Big Conor' and Mom is 'She Xonnre.' (In iruxi they sound more alike). By the time my little sister, was born I was already running around the house, over the furniture, up the walls, down the walls, jumping out of windows....' Anyway I became 'Spry Conor.'

As an emmisary, the iruxi feels he can be the most help with the logistics and heads over to the druid Cenenviel. "Can I be of any service"?

Spry Conor will find a healer before bed. Or will wounded 1 go away overnight?

Since more than a few of us are in want of health, Spry Conor will cast a 30 burst healing for everyone before the remaining hike. Heal: 1d8 ⇒ 2

Spry Conor greets the copper iruxi in their native tongue, then begins describing some of the leshy encounter in Common. "One dreadful creature, a rotten gourd with rabbit feet, lunged toward our guide, only to trip. It smashed itself against a tree root and some kind of hot sap splashed out. In seconds the bruorsivi needles burst into flames! We fought the flames. Though my friends will have to relate the fighting of the poor creatures."

In reviewing the encounter I realized there was a spoilered planes/religion check that I missed (went strait to fighting fires). Can I make that now? Religion: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 (nevermind)

    Horizon Hunters

Yes, I should have stated that more clearly, but that was the intent with 'gather round' :)

Alright, I will try and mark the tokens different colors than red/green then. Unfortunately most of this scenario is in the forest with forest maps. Though if you can think of any tips or tricks let me know and I will incorporate them.

I don't know if these will help or are feasible, but I have tried these to one degree or another.

White borders will stand out better on the dark background. Borders can be done at different thicknesses. If you are making tokens you can use different shapes (players are squares, opponents are circle/pentagon/exagon/octogon)

"Wait! Don't Go," Spry Conor lifts a hand to the receding light that is the goddess of the moon. Then he coughs and the pain in his ribs brings him fully back to the forest and the leshy battle. Seeing one standing over him he scrambles to his feet and reaches out with claws meant for climbing. They will do a number on a creature's hide too.

    claw: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (4) + 7 - 1 = 10, slash: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Is the virulent damage persistent (or persistant-like)? That is: does one continue to take the damage until a given condition is met (usually a Successful save or two)?

    GM:
Re: heal. thanks, the first virulent was 2 damage and that is what I was missing :)

A fail on recovery plus virulent damage plus AoE, means I can move dying three points each round. Even if I am no longer affected by virulent damage, a crit on either of the other two could be permanent death. On round three, with the failed recovery check & other damages: hero point. :)

    Recovery R3: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Fortunately not a crit fail. :) Dying 4.

Was the virulent poison before Spry Conor dropped or after? (Would a successful save change when Spry Conor dropped?) If it is after, I think its damage would drop me to Dying 3.

    Virulent save: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (8) + 6 - 1 = 13

    GM:
Spry Conor will spend 'all' of his hero points to stabilize.

I will admit, I was not tracking my damage taken because you were. That said it looks like my heal did 1 damage to me instead of curing 1 (13hp +1 heal became 12hp). It doesn't change anything, just curious.

I can't say I am recovered but I am back :) thanks to everyone for their patience.

Spry Conor says a travelling prayer and moves toward the fire. The magic of the prayer adds starlight to each of his steps, propelling him ever so slightly. "This will not do! Why don't you come put out these flames before they burn down your home?"

Though he doesn't expect an answer, the iruxi attempts to smother the flames. "Come on, try something like this," he says as he provides an example.

Edit Profile will let you change all the text in the character's profile. I think one has to log in to their page to change an avatar.

I do not remember if it is under My account > Organized play... or

It is not possible to change the Avatar's name after 10 posts, which might be what Nuoc Tang is referring to. But other changes are doable.

A note about Editing the character's profile: Once you start the change you only have a minute or so to finish. Taking too long will crash the system. SAVE OFTEN. I actually recommend typing the profile in a separate document. Then when you are ready to make the change, you can cut and paste the information pretty quickly.

"Good Roads be before you, friends," says a thin iruxi crossing his arms across his chest and bowing. His robes are little more than red shashes and a loin cloth. Attached to his chest sash is a clasp of silver bearing stars and a moon. He also has Two star-knives attached to his belt. "I am Spry Conor, follower of the Path of Heavens, and look forward to our journey together."
