About Sophie the Wonder-Jaw
Sophie was a wonderful, loving, sweet-hearted boxer-pitbull mix who gave us five years of her amazing life. We adopted her from a shelter as a surrender at just shy of her first birthday, though we don't know the reasons she was given up, and she grew from a scared, timid puppy to a lively, excited, outgoing, aggressively-friendly dog who brightened every day from 2020 to 2025 as she shared our home and our hearts.
Due to various circumstances, we were unable to keep her with us, and in May of 2025 we surrendered her to another family in our area at the time, who would be equipped to care for her, love her, and ensure she has a good life outside of a shelter's cage.
She is alive and well, and we hope she is as happy as she was every day she was with us, and making her new family's lives as beloved and exciting as she did ours.
There will forever be a Sophie-shaped hole in our hearts, but the pain is softened knowing that she didn't have to go back to a cage when we had to part ways.
Goodbye, my sweet, bright-eyed little girl. I'll miss you more than I can say. But I don't think you need words to know how much we loved you.
